uuuuh yeah so i've decided to flat out give up!!! I asked her if she'd be my date for my works christmas party a few days before i started this thread (the party was tonight) her eyes got all big and she said yes really exicited like she didn't believe i'd ask her. We talked about it lastnight and she was still going and we joked about how "cool" it was going to be. She ended up texting me that she was "sick" and she backed out at the last possible minute... I think that was pretty chicken shit that of all ways to tell me she breaks the news by texting me. My director kept bugging me all week if i need two seats reserved and i told him yes a million times. I didn't know they were going to be the little tiny round tables made for 2 people. I had to sit by myself (the only one without a date there) I haven't felt that stupid in a really long time, and then having to answer "where's your date?" by 30 people. Maybe this is what i need to open my eyes.

no "real" explanation.. she seemed perfectly fine until i asked her when she was going to be ready for the party and then she said she had been sick all day with a migrane. She actually did the same thing for valentines day a few years ago. I should have known she'd pull this crap again. Thanx for all the insight on what to do. haha i appreciate not being bashed too!! I'm not going to call or text or email. i'm not to sure how to handle myself in the gym when we run into eachother. I know she'll play it off like nothing even happened and i'm so dumb i'll do the same thing just to save what little pride i have left.

i haven't called/texted/emailed i'm proud of myself even though it hasn't been that long. She hasn't tried to get a hold of me or anything either. and she hasn't showed up at the gym since so i'm thinking the problem took care of itself.
