Lab Results Back – Low Test Levels?

Hey,

OK so I have been feeling low for a while (Fatigue, Can’t concentrate, No motivation at all etc) and after reading various threads on here and articles on the net, I went to go get my bloodwork done.

My doc was very reluctant but did eventually do it.

My test levels came back as 240 ng/dL and although I specifically asked, he didn’t test my free T.

According to the doc, my levels are “normal” and the range I was given on the results was 230 – 1080 ng/dL so I just about scraped in the low end of “normal”

I am interested to hear anyone’s opinion on what I can do about this as I definitely don’t feel normal. Plus all the research I have done on normal levels have been 300 ng/dL upwards and closer to 700 ng/dL for 30 year olds, which I am.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated

What is your age?
What is your AAS history?
Are you looking to go on HRT?

What is you body fat? Do you WO often?
Did you go to a GP?
I would get a refferal to an Endo and find the problem. HRT is for us old guys.

I was in the same boat. I started HRT 3 months ago and I am a new man. I feel better than I ever have actually. You may want to look into it.

4T.....excellent Halloween costumes.

Go to another doctor. Thats way to low for your age. Mine was 270 ng/dl (after a cycle) and my doc is going to test me again and prescribe me some AAS if they show that low next time. I am taking precautions to ensure that mine test low, but in your case you need someone to take you serious. Most dotors are fugging idiots,so finding a good one can be very difficult. Good Luck.

My BF is around 13% and I used to work out 4 x week all natty. Since my health has been declining, I have not been working out as much - maybe 2 x week. And yes, this was my regular GP bro

Thanks for the PM bro, Ive replied

I was thinking the same thing, switch doctors. This guy seems totally uninterested and unhelpful. As far as he's concerned, I didnt need the tests in the first place and now because I just scraped in the "normal" range, that that! Nothing more for him to do!!

Do you know if I can still see an endo, without a referal?

Thanks for all your input guys

The first question is, What do YOU want to do? If you want to go on HRT, then your test results indicate that you are a good candidate. If you want to pusue HRT you will need to go see an Endo or urologist and get a Test prescription. Is that what you want to do?

^^ Honestly bro, because my doctor has been zero help, I was kind hoping to find out what my options even are.

From the various reading I have done HRT is a life long commitment, so would need some serious thought BUT I am not prepared to spend the rest of my life feeling this way.

Are there any more options for low test or is HRT my only option? This is all very new to me and I am getting zero support from my doc as he feelsI am "normal" (on paper atleast)

You could try some natural over the counter test boosters first and see if its enough to get you higher in the normal range other then that you are looking at HRT. Its not that bad they have patches and gel now that you just rub on everyday if you dont want to get a shot every week.

id go to another doc...u obviously have some issues going on at that low...on my 7th cycle and my last results were mid 600s...

Who wants the patches or gel, thats what my doc said I will give you some cream. I was like hell no I want the injections, the needle is where the fun is. LOLOLLOL

Thats the problem with most dick head doctors, they are really unconcerned. I dont know about the referal, I do know that most insurance providers will cover your test persription, if you are diagnosed with hypogonadism. If that is really the case with you any doctor with half sense and one eye will refer you. You would need to be on HRT for the rest of your days. IMO your to young to be that low and not cycling AAS. Are you generally healthy?

Well my doctor definitely doesnt care! I have been complaining of generally feeling sick and he didnt seem bothered, I then researched various stuff and requested the blood work (which I literally had to force him into doing) and now he has come back to me with the result as normal!

As far as my general health, I am yes. Except the mentioned symptoms which seem to match up to the symptoms I have read that are generally assosiated with low test. (Fatigue, cant concentrate, achey etc)

Reading my healthcare providers website (BCBS), it looks like they pretty much cover Test cyp and Test prop but not Test E.
The other stuff (HGH, HCG etc) seems far more difficult to qualify for!!

I am 30 years old.
Never touched any AAS.
I am not too sure what to do, ws kind of hoping for some suggested options bro

Your doc is not doing you proper bro. That low of a score at your age means you have issues with your ehdocrine system. You should have a score that is at the high middle to upper end. Get another opinion. I can tell you that any other doc that is a good doc will give you the option of HRT. You never done AAS ever??? wow........Go see another doc bro. And ins will cover HRT as long as it is test-enanthate or cyp. Rarely will ins, if ever, will cover peptides like hgh unless you have an awsome doctor willing to tweak the icd9 codes, or you have a legitimate reason, fda standard reason, for getting HGH.
But you need test bro. It will change your whole sense of being for the good.

Thanks, thats good to hear man!

I have never touched any AAS. I had been researching it a while and actually came to the site for that purpose and since being here started seeing HRT threads etc, so decided to get it checked out. Maybe a cycle would be a good thing! LOL

I'm hoping once I can get something sorted out, it will improve me. Think I may go see another doc and take my test results along as proof. See what they say!

Find out from your health care provider if you can see an endocrineologist with out a referal, if so skip the flunky and go to someone who specializes in problems such as yours. The one your seeing now sounds like he specializes in runny noses and hemrhoids. Most family practice doctors are idiots and were just to big a pussy to go to vet skool. Your levels at your age should not be in the low normal range if you have no other health issues. Talked to my doc on the fon he said thats way low for thirty, he wud definately put you on sumthin. Good Luck Again Bro.

Here's something you can try from one of our sponsers:

Testosterone Recovery Stack

I think the name pretty much explains what it does. Use the link to read about it and check out all of its components.

Thanks for the info bro and I really appreciate you doing that!

You're right about my curent doc, thats exactly what I said to my wife. If its anything more complex that a cold or something then he's out of his depth.

I'll see if I can see someone who knows what theyre talking about lol

Thats what I would do, if you are only concerned with the way your feeling and not concerned with muscles like all the other roid raging maniacs on this site, you may really want to try some of the test boosters that are on the market. I have heard nothing but good things about Dermacrine, might be worth a try. Much smarter bros than me to ask about that, Needto, Alcatraz, DaBuff Guy any of those brothers will know the best alternatives to HRT. Hope you figure it out bro.

^^ I am concerned with adding muscles but thats because I have lost size and it seems harder to put it on nowdays.

If I can fix feeling crappy AND add mass more easily, then all the better lol

I'll update the thread if I make any progress, which hopefully I will.

If any of you other guys strongbow mentioned can add anything, i'd be interested to hear bro's
