Kneeling Squats

Chucky

New member
Can someone explain the proper form for these? I'm assuming it's as simple as it sounds, but I don't want to wreck myself by doing something stupid and wrong.

Also, what exactly do these work and where would be the best place to use them? ME movement? Assistance?

Thanx!

I use these as 3RM moves on ME day, or as a second move on speed day (rigged up with bands). They work the hips, but with the hip flexors in a verticle plane. You use very similar technique/tightness as when you squat, so the carry over has been good for me.

Kneeling Speed Squat:

This is 221 pounds, and I rigged it up with pink bands through a belt, so I'm fighting the back pull of the bands.

A regular kneeling squat looks the same, but without the belt/bands.

One thing I see done incorrectly alot on these, is that a person will start bent over, and end ben over, never really thrusting the hips through a full range of motion and staying tight/upright.
