HI, just wanted to add that this is a very very effective way to defeat most attackers who are out for a fight. Anyone who is in a fight with a proffesionly trained fighter is in trouble. The idea behind kino mutai is to initiate the hybrid grapple in a way that you are applying an eye gouge as well as a bite to the face. The hold makes it very difficult to defend or remove yourslef from the hold. Biting the face and eye gouging simutaneously, is what makes this incredibley effective especially for a woman. Another thing to understand is you do not just bite your opponent, the purpose is to not let your openent get away and to tear and rip your opponent open. The other main areas for biting are the nipple/chest area or biting the groin. This is determined by the position you find yourself in. This area of the philipino martial arts has given me so much confidence, I can assure you that very few attackers are expecting this type of violence. A true eye gouge with the intent to damage or destroy an eye is very fast and effctive as well, if you are able to apply some form of control on your opponent then they will be hard pressed to be thinking of how to choke you out when therè eye is in jepordy as well as having there face torn or even applying the bite to the neck to finish your oppenent permanently if the situation calls for that approach.
