Upon finally getting up today at 1:30 I proceeded to make this to eat::evil::chomp:

Sweet Potato Pancakes with butter, drenched in maple whisky.
Fried up 4 large eggs
Fried up 1 lb of bacon
Accompanied by a pint of cran/blueberry juice (never tried it before it's awesome though). Unforetuneately I had no vodka to put in it.

Today's breakfast is sponsored by the letter "C" for cholesterol!

I'll update this thread as the obscene amount of food and alcohol is consumed today.

I got it when I was in Alberta a few years ago. It's basically maple syrup and whisky mixed together. It's too sweet to drink more than a few sips at a time, but was pretty damn tasty on pancakes.

Holy heart attacks batman!

1'5k kcals / day for me!

My base maintenance cals are 4,500 per day. Right now since I'm on my feet almost all day at work and working hard I'm burning in the 6k range so I need to take in more than that since I'm trying to regain the weight I lost from getting sick.

I also weigh in at close to 22 stones.:D

That's a lot of rocks. I'm the Pilsbury Doughboy on anything over 3,000 cals.

We Albertans start our day with whiskey and then get into the serious drinking.

i quit drinking every year (usually) for tax season. . .i haven't had a drop since 01/01. . .i miss my jimmy beam :(

No offense meant but jim beam is disgusting. I've had a lot of it in my life but it's still not good.

So far aside from the maple whisky I've had.

Millburn- Distillery no longer exists and I bought the last two bottles in Edinburgh. It's fantastic and virtually priceless now.

Clynelish- Solid highland malt, very crisp and clean.

I may have a masters degree and a handful of professional certifications and i might dress nice. . .but i'm white trash. . .i probably wouldn't know good whiskey if it fell out of the sky, landed on my face, and started to wiggle. . .i love jim beam. . .sitting in my backyard by the fire on a summer friday evening, in a baggie pair of board shorts and no shirt (or underwear for that matter), flip-flops on my feet, my six-string epiphone resting on my right thigh, fingerpicking and strumming a few tunes, a double shot mellowing over two ice cubes. . .relaxation doesn't get much better than that. . .i don't know much about art, but i know what i like :whatever:

Well I spent a lot of time in Scotland and really got to discover what good whisky is. It's hard to go back although a couple weeks ago I was shotgunning beam until 5am with a buddy of mine. We were pissing and moaning about life and then discussing heisenburgs uncertainty. I get into really weird discussions whilst hammered.lol

Nothing wrong with knowing what you like though.

Thank God I don't like all that stuff, regardless of healthy or not. I was raised from birth to age 5 by my German Grandma, who stuffed us with sugar, red meat, potatoes, beer (yes, dark beer for lunch for toddlers is a German custom), and everything stuffed with heavy butter and cream, and we had to eat EVERYTHING on our plate or hear a lecture about starving children in Bangladesh. I'm Irish on my Dad's side, and as my fellow Irishmen on this site will probably agree, you push anything on an Irishman, and he'll do exactly the opposite and x10! I don't like the taste of fried foods, nor of sugary desserts. I do like beer, but I don't drink it but every 6 months due to the six pack under my shirt being way more important to me than a six pack cold in the fridge.

Think my BMR is about 2'500-3000kcal / day (youth on my side :D) & I'm weighing in at 14 stone atm so reduced caloric nutrition sucks arse as I'll admit being Scottish / Italian I love my food both proper & junk.

Still enjoy my pints with lime every weekend though despite it cutting in to my fat loss momentum.

I grew up eating lentil soup with no salt, homemade alfalfa sprouts, liver, and plain yoghurt. Just forget about sugary cereal, it didn't exist in my mom's kitchen.
I never had white bread or any sort of sugary treat in my lunchbox. I never ate at McDonald's.
I didn't have a Twinkie or Hostess Cupcake until I was over 30 (verdict:disgusting).
I don't have a taste for butter and cream, I just don't like it.
But put a pepperoni pizza with bacon on it in front of me and I could eat the whole thing.
And bacon with maple syrup? I'd push you out of the way to get there. ;)
I used to be a vegetarian in my young and idealistic teens until the day i smelled bacon cooking.
Bacon is a big deal for me, I love the stuff.
