Just played Crysis 2 on PC, my initial thoughts inside

I just DL'd it from Steam, waiting for my new memory to arrive. When I built my PC in November, i installed 12GB. I didn't realize it had slowly been failing over the last few months. The OS is now only recognizing 4GB fml. I ran MemTest86 and getting 52% fail rate across 5 slots, (tripple channel mobo has 6 slots). Ordered 12GB of G.Skill which will only take up 3 slots so I can upgrade to 24GB later FTW.

Also did Call of Duty Black Ops since I never got around to playing that either. I'll let you know how it goes. PM me your info if you're on Steam i'll friend you and we can hook up and stroke each other epeen's or something

lol yeah, and play BO before Crysis 2. Otherwise chances are it will just make BO look and play that much worse.

What kind motherboard did you get? I'm sure you got 64 bit Win7 too...?

Asus Rampage III Formula, Windows 7 Ultimate, 64 bit. New memory is installed and memtest passed, tried out BO last night but the baby kept interrupting my play time...damn kids

Started BO, then went to Crysis 2, no comparison, I like Crysis 2 better. The suit is money, and Hans Zimmer did the music, nuff said.

Hell yeah. Wait til you get about half way in. The gameplay picks up the pace and the set pieces start ramping up along with it.

Btw, if you have a good pair of headphones your ears will thank you in spades. I grin a little with my Sennheisers cranked up every time I hear my suit switch to armor mode before kicking some ass.

Got my Dre Studio Beats. I have some Senn buds for the gym and my noise canceling beats for travel/gaming. The Senn noise canceling headphones were money, the beats saved me about $150 off the Senn's I liked. The Studio Beats are great.
