just got gyno surgery

New member
I had my gyno surgery a few days ago, they removed the glands and they did lypo. Skin on chest and nipples are numb, I got two tubes(one on each side) aboout 1.5 inches below and .5inches to the sides of my nipples(to remove fluids) DOc gave me a script for antibiotics and vicidin. Don't even need the vicidins, 1st day was the worst day and that wasn't even that bad. Getting my tubes taken out tommorow, but I have to wear a compression vest for a few weeks. Any one who is thinking about it should definitley get it, looked at it while my chest is a little bit swollen, still looks 200% better, when swelling goes down it will be perfect. Going to see endocrinologists to get a script for test within a few weeks, can't wait to hit the gym again, this summer is going to be great, finally be able to walk around without a shirt on. I wan't to thank Latameir for his patience and his knowledge and anyone else who has helped me before the surgery.
later bros.

How much did that surgery cost you? Since they removed your glands, will you ever have a problem with that again?

hey bro, what doctor did you go to and how much did it cost?
did he just do the chest or did he do any mid section too?

cool bro i have a yamaha r6 with chrome rims that i wanna ride with my shirt off too this summer.im gonna work the chest down with a shit load of training and mad tubes of yohimburn( macro i gotta chat with ya) if all that fail i will look into the surgury glad to hear you ok though

I had insurance pay for it, it was natural gyno but there was a lot of it, I didn't even have a lot of BF, just looked like I had a small tits, I have worked on my chest so hard that with the surgery, my chest looks fu*k'n awesome now that all that fat is gone. He did not do any midsection, didn't have to, just did the breasts. I still can;t beleive how little disomfort I am getting, I am still waiting for the doc to call telling me that the easy part was over and I am going to need to schedule a real surgery. Yeah and about that bike comment, I gotta cbr900rr(yeah I know they're dogs but at least its a 900) and I can't wait to ride even in a tight tank-top. Later bros, gotta get to bed.

what did you tell your doc to get insurance to cover it? i would like to have the surgery sometime this year. how long before you can hit the gym?

Join the "got surgery for Gyno club" bro. ;) I had my surgery about 3 years ago... it was awesome... it is great to walk around with your shirt off and not have people look at you like "Are those tits on a dude?"

I was back in the gym after 10 days... no problems.

Damn citrus, ten days? Docs tell'n me I should avoid heavy lifting for a solid month, I have to wear the compression vest for about a month as well. But about the insurance, I just told him the truth, it hurt, itched and it was do to natural low testosterone. SO before my endocrinologists was going to give me test injections he said that it may cause my tits to get bigger instead of trying to get smaller, so he ordered the surgery to get the gland and the fat removed so I don't have to worry about it. Anyway can't wait to cycle- thinking of doing a sus/dbol/fina/winny cycle. I can't freak'n wait anymore, this coupled with my test therapy, YYYYYYYYYYYYIIIPPPPPPPPPEEEEEEEEEE, i can't wait. Again my experience has been such a good one that I would defenitly recommend seeing a doc about this. Oh yeah, I got my tubes out today, I took two vicidin thinking that it was going to hurt like a bitch but I didn't feel anything at all, took 5 minutes to get them taken out.
Later bros.

****Docs tell'n me I should avoid heavy lifting for a solid month**

Congrats bro!! i knoe the what your feeling right now and it only gets better, especially when your on the Beach this summer!!!!:D

Its been about a week and a half since my surgery and I feel great. No pain, only a tiny bit of soreness if I run down the stairs and my chest moves. The swelling is going down and I can, for the first time, see the bottom of my pectoral muscles, it was usually just a titty before. Going in for check-up at end of week, I'll keep you guys posted.

Had my surgery about 2-3 weeks ago. Went to go see DOc again for follow up a few days ago. Everything is going fine, thought there was fluid build up and tried to drain it with syringe. but there "wasn't enought fluid to come out" Wounds are healing up niceley, but I still gotta wear the vest for another two weeks, f*ck!. Oh well, keep ya guys posted.

How did you get your insurance to pay for it? I thought insurance usually didn't cover stuff done for cosmetic reasons. I've been thinking about undergoing the procedure for a while, but figured it was something I would have to save up for. Also, it sounds like you had a good doctor sabutar. How did you find him/her?

Hey reg,
I think my case was a special one. I went in to my primary doctor and told him (with a sad look on my face) that I have breast. I told him the truth, I had knockers since about 11-12 years old, they would feel kinda sore and itch a little, and thats what I told him. He ran a blood test and seen that my test levels were low. He then sent me to an endocrinologist and the endocrinologist had my test, estrogen, prolactin levels checked. He also ordered a bone density exam, MRI on the pituitary, and a testicular Ultra sound. He then gave me a GNRHtest? to see if my pitutitary was working right. I was classified as hypogonadal. I told him I wanted the surgery and he said"why do you wanna go under the knife so fast, I will treat you with hormones to REDUCE the problem" thats when I said I wanna get RID of the problem, not reduce it. So after getting a few more blood tests he then suggested I get the surgery in conjuntion with hormone therapy. The reason for the surgery was that the test therapy could increase my breast size. So eight months after my first visitm I have no tits and I am going to see the endocrinologist soon.--hope that helps.

thanks

Thanks sabutar. I'm kind of in the same boat as you are (well, were). When I hit puberty, I developed chi-chis too. One of the reasons that I don't walk around without a shirt on actually. Done different things (dieting, lifting) but nothing seems to get rid of the sagging fat below the nipple. Actually, my pecs are quite developed... it's a shame that they're obscured by the fat.

Your experience gives me more courage to suck it up and get something done about it. Thanks.

sabutar, is the compression vest visible with your shirt on? In other words do people ask you "what the fuck are you wearing under your shirt?"

Nah, not really, its winter where I'm at right now so I'm wearing a lot of sweaters, so you don't notice at all. I've worn a black-t-shirts around the house and nobody notices, I can't even tell. You would only be able to see it if you wear those tight t-shirts. I have one more week on it, I can't wait.

A compression vest, well at least mine, is like a tank top with 5 inch straps instead of the regular 1 inch straps(straps=part of tank top that goes over the shoulders, skinny part, just in case I wasn't explaining it right). The front of it from top to bottom has a clip connection(similiar to the back of a bra) The material is a very low strech, tough material that places pressure on your chest. The pressure is needed on your chest to reduce swelling. See when you get lipo done, your creating a space between your skin and your muscle, in the healing process fluids might accumalate in this new space, the vest helps keep the fluids out of the area by "squeezing" them out where they will be absorbed by your body and pissed, sweated, cried, crapped out. ----
AS far as my progress I finally did some light chest movements. I felt like such a pussy compared to what I used to lift, but hey I'll be back in no time. I've been doing cardio every other day, my chest is no longer sore when I run or jump and I am getting feeling back into my right nipple, my left one tingles everynow and then i think the feeling will return shortly. One more week of this vest kaka and I'm free, I'm gonna miss it though, I think I'll have it bronzed or maybe plaqued.

Hey bro, glad to hear all went well. Havent heard from you in a while. Was it as bad as I said it would be?

LATAMIER!!!!!!!,
how you doin bro? I'm glad you set me up for the worst, but I gotta tell you, I just might get gyno again on purpose to have it done again. IT was that easy. They removed the gland and lipo'd it and the first day wasn't bad at all. IT was just bothersome having those tubes for five days(expecially during new years) after that its fine, if you've been reading my post you can see that all was going well and I'm glad I could provide first-hand-experienced-information to the board. I've always felt like a leech asking other peoples advice and not being able to give advice in return but now that I got this under my belt I would be happy to explain to anyone who has questions. Thanx bro for helping me, your a good bro to have on this board, later.

Just glad to hear you came through with flying coclrs. Let me know if you ever need any medical advice. dont worry about thinking your being a leech. Thats why we are all here, so we can help each other out. Good luck bro!

incisions

hey sabutar (and anyone who has had glandular tissue removed during surgery).

i definitely have glandular tissue that needs to be removed. i'm going to see my primary care doctor soon and although the details of surgery (or even the topic of surgery) may not come up then, i'm still curious as to what types of incisions were made to remove the tissue? will it leave conspicuous scars?

Have you found out from your insurance company how much it cost them? I'm just curious to know a round-a-bout price, and how much an operation like that may set me back because I'd like to have it done, but I may have to pay for it myself.
