I haven't sprinted in awhile since I started work and studying for class. But tonight I had some extra energy and didn't want to go out, so I went sprinting.

Warmup one lap fast paced probably around 70-80 sec
6x50m dashes with walking time back for rest.
(felt good to work on form, no real problems)
3x100m sprints walk time back for rest
(very hard to keep the intensity up and push through the whole excercise without coasting, but I did it barely)....

Cooldown one fast 200m jog

got home and did 3 leg extension sets all sets 15-18 reps full extension and explosion based.... Not too bad all in all I will do squats next time I go after the srpints....

Cool w/o Lord_Suston! I've done sprint a few times on the street in the morning.. Looks funny a big 240# guy sprinting down the street passing the kids waiting for the school bus.. :mix:

I suppose you used a track though? Squats after sprints! yikes.. let me know if you do that...

doing legs tomorrow I will post the details.. Legion I will post a pic soon, I ordered a scanner so that will help. I would consider myself an power athlete. I don't primarily train for size I train more for overall power, speed and symmetry.

I don't think so but my side snapping kicks along with my side thrusting kicks are still really fast, plus I can hit 6-7 punch combos without losing any balance within my stances. I don't really practice jumping much, but I can get rim at 5'7-8.. I mainly grapple and box when I fight, and train

I can do a 540 at nearly 290...

B, not in an offensive way but, you're huge (muscular) how do you do it?

Hell, I love being able to hit 9' rim, and almost 10' i got mad hops =P

I was never very good at Kata at all because I was so big and tall. It was much better to look at when Carmichael Simon, Mike Chat, and all the little guys did it... I just don't look as quick...

I learned when I was smaller and when I began lifting I became strong enough to do them...strength training helped me a lot.
