My guess is that it would be excruciating to really grip anything for while. Personally, I wouldn't go chancing dropping/mishandling a barbell or dumbbell (might chip something else! ).
I would take a breather. But maybe some machines for a while if you MUST workout?
Go machines for a while until you feel like you can grip a bar.
You can still do deads and pullups and stuff like that with straps if you want to, but anything where you are under the weight, I would us a machine for safety purposes
