Well well...if it isn't the age old steroid snobbery resurfacing at good ole elite. Shrooms are for crackheads? Strange. I have found that particular hallucinogen to be fairly mild, and certainly non-addictive. Additionally, it can be a fantastic teacher, or at the very minimum, a fun time. I cannot see the equivalence proposed to heroin, no matter how hard I try. What do I know? I've done all those drugs a great many times. We're not talking about crack here, which has absolutely no redeeming quality to counteract the ferocious and unilateral addicitive trait. And what about the question to begin with...will shrooms negatively affect his cycle? Well, let's see here. If you take shrooms in a standard dose, say, eight grams or so, you will most likely experience some gastrointestinal discomfort throughout the trip and well into the next day. Additionally, there might be some residual psychological effect, especially if you take a negative mental turn during the actual trip. These factors could result in afew missed workouts. Moreover, whenever hallucinogens are taken, there seems to be a redirection of focus onto that particular experience, which could potentially draw away from focus in the gym. HOWEVER, if you happen to be lucky enough to experience a thoroughly deconstructing trip, the resulting mental reconstruction will definetly ADD to your ability to focus, although this effect may take some time. The truth is that one shroom trip will not have a significant impact on your training, but could lead to habits that might. If it were me, I'd eat them. Hey wait...I eat them anyway...
