ok this is basically how YOU would have scored it or who you think should have won
to me Chris was stronger in standup, wasn't a breeze to take down and did more on the ground then Josh did
so to me I'd say Chris won
I figure it's better to have this thread dedicated to that discussion to help the other one stay based on the overall show and this one for that
plus we can see how the people feel via a poll

I didn't see the match. From what I have heard though, I can tell you who lost: anyone that had to suffer through watching it. Koscheck by brutal lay-and-pray.

At first, I was a bit pissed I never got to see it; after reading all the crap, and all the crap from last week, I'll probably just grab the updates from EF.

It was disappointing, but no doubt in my mind that Josh won. Chris was totally unsuccessful at executing his game plan. He landed no good strikes & he had no take-downs. His ground defense was ok, but you have to remember how the scoring is done. Josh is a wrestler, the way a wrestler scores is by take-downs, or ground & pound, which he did. The fight was boring & I wanted Chris to win ( after the water hose incident), but I knew who the decision was going to, and deservedly so.

Who would you have supported if Koscheck pissed in Leben's sleeping bag?

I don't think chris managed to do anything but lay there and cover his head. He was no better than Josh's "lay and pray". None of his punches connected, he did manage to thwart some take downs but are points given for that? I've said it before, Josh was no great fighter but he did manage to control the fight, even if it was boring as hell.

Jacob, I would have supported Chris either way because I like to watch stand up fighting (who doesn't). I thought he would be fun to watch later in the show. However, Josh won the fight, no question. Chris froze like Pedro Rizzo used to do in his title fights. It's like caution overtakes them.

I think points should be awareded for avoiding a takedown
that's not the same as having it be that way tho

as another poster said, Josh controlled the fight.

Thats only b/c the ref sucked and the match was too short. If the fight had more rounds, and Herb Dean would have stood them up much more frequently like he should have, I'm fairly certain that Chris would have been the winner. That short 2 round fight was not enough time for Chris to deliver flurries, and when they were standing (by way of miracle), he was being too cautious with Josh...

So again, longer fight + competant ref = Chris would have won.

I think Chris won. He beat Josh on the stand up war and when taken down he kept working to better his position... Josh was a Div.1 wrestler, if he had pulled that shit in a match he would have been hit with at least 4 stalling points. Taking a guy down and not trying to work for a better position is not the way to win a fight. Not in wrestling and not in MMA. I think inactivity should be punished by the judges in MMA as in other combat sports.
If taking a guy down and laying on top of him till time runs out is the way to win fights in the UFC, then I can be the next big thing there... I can take most guys down and shut down their chances to attack/scape once im in their guard.

I think the judging was bullshit.

I thought so to
Josh tried ZERO subs, Chris went for one at least
and he didn't do very much pounding from top possitin either
I think I can pound better from the bottom possition then Koscheck can from the top!
