whats your recipe bro? I copyed it out and wrote it down a while ago went to make it today and couldnt find where I had put my copy, lol.

for every 16oz meat loaf combine

1lb lean ground beef
2 eggs
1 cup oats
1 green pepper
1 medium onion

form into loaf and bake at 350F until almost done then pull out the loaf and cover with ketchup, bbg sauce, or any thick tomato sauce and bake for another 10 minutes.

i usually make 3 of them and eat one for a lunch for 3 days starting the day i made them. any more should be frozen.

as with all protein sources dont over cook it or it will take longer to digest and you will get less out of it.

thanks, do you have the totals or do I have to work that out myself lol?

the oats, sauce, and beef change all of that a lot especially the sauce. it would be best for you to add it up from what you buy. quaker oats have 54g carbs 6g fat 8g fiber per cup

I read the thread title and thought very :rainbow: thoughts lol

Nice recipee Joe. I eat a lot of lean ground meatballs and whole wheat noodles pwo. I am going to try this to mix it up.

i didnt even notice that lol. the meat loaf doesnt taste bad at all. it could be made different if you dont like the taste of the oats you could replace them with whole grain breed. just let it sit out and get a little stail then break it up small and use 1.5 cups of that.

bro this is so fuckin nice! I made it with 700g lean minced beef, 3 whole eggs, 1.5 red peppers, 1 onion and 1.5cups oats. I already ate some tonight! Im gonna eat it at school now in wholemeal pitter bread!

how do we know the fat ratio of the beef he bought?

That has got to be the most basic of basic recipes IO have ever seen. I guess it gets the job don though right.

Anyway if you could care less about calls and just want the best tasting meatloaf you have ever had in your life. Well then this is a recipe

Ingredients:
3bs beef and 2lbs ground pork.
Put the meat in a bowl.
Add this
8 Tbsp A1 sauce
2 Tbsp beef base. I like Prasteen
2 Tbsp ms dash
1 Tbsp salt, Sea salt is the best
3 Tbsp basil
3 cloves fresh garlic
1 cups some times more of Italian bread crumbs.
Half cup Vidalia onions. Vidalia onions are sweet and believe me they are the best for a meat loaf.
1/4 cup milk or cream if you don’t care about fat
2 Tbsp soy sauce
2 Tbsp Worcestershire sauce
Directions:
Mix this all up. If it feels too mushy add some bread crumbs.
Over mixing is counterproductive and will ruin the final outcome.
Once you have a pretty good consistence throw it all on a well greased .
Then just look at it. If it is really falling apart and you can’t get it to hold crack 1 egg and crush it in your hands, spread it all over the meat loaf. Rub it completely over the surface thoroughly and you’ll feel it start to come together and start to hold. You will know when it is where you want it.
If it is already holding pretty good just use water to seal it the rest of the way. You want the end product to be very smooth on the out side.
Cover and cook for 20 minutes at 350 then on cover and cook fore anther 25 minutes. If you don’t cover for the first 20 minutes it will dry out.

He said lean.... That ratio is for 90/10. I'm so used to 93/7 that your basic 70/30 ground chuck is way to rich for me. I had some of my moms meatballs made from 70/30 not too long ago and I could barely eat 4 of them.
