It's illegal so it must really work great, right? Well, no actually.

It's a shame almost everyone (including women) fall into the trap of thinking that the legal status of a drug is some indicator of it's effectiveness. If I had a dollar for every post I've seen on this board during the last 6 years asking about "var" or "clen" I'd be independently wealthy. People assume that b/c they're illegal they must be great.

Now stop and consider this for a moment. Why are drugs either banned entirely or not available w/o prescription? Is it b/c they are super effective at doing what are intended to do? Hey this stuff works WAY too well, let's ban it!

No. They become black or gray market drugs b/c of potentially dangerous side effects. A drug's side effects has no relationship at all to its efficacy. It could well be only moderately effective, but have lots of potentially serious side effects.

Based on my personal experience, and the anecdotal experience of others, I feel that there are legal "prohormones" (designer steroids, actually) that are as anabolic as oxandrolone. Fewer sides? Perhaps, perhaps not. Lower cost per pound of muscle gained? Quite probably. The point is the legal status of a product should never be the only thing you consider.

As for fatloss, for years I have felt Clenbutural to be wildly overrated. It's a drug supported mostly by it's Internet fitness board mythology. There are so many better choices of fatloss products I can't imagine any other reason why Clen is still even discussed. Hell even a proper keto diet compares favorably to clenbutural in terms of effectiveness and w/o the horrible central nervous system side effects.

So my last word on this subject is consider everything when shopping for a musclebuilding or fatloss product, and never assume that just b/c something has been outlawed it must be the best possible choice.

Thank you for posting this..

The main thing is nothing works well at all legal or other wise if the key building blocks are not there which is diet and training. I just think a lot of people expect the illegal to be some kind of magic bullet but it is not hard work is still required.

That's true. I don't know about trying everything. I always find it smart to ask those who have physiques you admire. You can learn alot from a collegue who has greater experience then yourself.

Sometimes the legal supps can be very confusing to the average person. For example in the realm of OTC fat loss products, there are so many to choose from; whereas on the other side of the fence, it's just clen and T3.

Its funny over the years I have seen people decide to take steroids and other illegal substances because they "couldn't achieve their goals". Then once on whatever they decide to start researching how to eat, what to eat, when to eat, how to work out etc. and then all of a sudden they look their best. Then the next thing you know they are completely clean and swore off everything and still look their best. When I ask what the story is I always here "I don't need that stuff. Its all diet".
Then it happened to me too! LOL
