It doesn't take a genius to pass a steroids test

Nautica - Actually that part sparked my interest. Is this guy just talking bs or are there really "masking agents" for steroids? I figured if anyone would know it'd be you.
I just figured they'd use suspension or prop and other gear that gets out of the system really quick.

There aren't really any masking agents. Most of those are on the banned lists as well. Certain drugs help the body clear out AAS rapidly but testing technology is very good. Many tests can detect the metabolites of the drugs.

Smart athletes (who get tested) plan out their cycles so they are clean at testing time. Finish just in time you maximize the drugs effects. Or you can gamble and try to run a cycle thru a major competition. Or you can play MLB ball where they don't test.

In Olympic sports (or Commonwealth games, Pan Am Games, World Cup events, etc...) typically they test the podium (top 3) and a random person or 2. Some sports federations test periodically throughout the sporting year and subject the top competitors to random out of comp tests. In bike racing they test at all international events (podium and a few randoms everyday of the race). However they are supposed to test some national events and they have only tested at a handful. At one of the biggest multiday events of the season they didn't test and...well lots of guys were very fast there!

Watched a special on this topic on espn a few days ago and a world renowned phd was covering all of these issues. He said that currently there is no test that can detect gh. He said that when synthetic gh is injected into the body you cannot detect this but can only detect the amount of gh the body naturally produces.

Well hGH will be detectable soon. The scenario is probably similar to EPO. They had an EPO test in 1995 that would detect it but they needed a LITER of urine! Thats a lot of urine. Plus they also got a few false positives so that test was thrown out and they went back to the drawing boards in the lab. In 1999 the Aussies came up with a killer EPO test at the same time the French did (both parties were trying to get a test ready for Sydney). The Aussie test could detect EPO usage up to 3 weeks after the last injection, but they got 1 false positive in the control group so that test was discarded. The French test could detect EPO usage up to 3 DAYS after the last injection. They got no flase positives, but the validity of this test has been called into question. And the lead researcher for this test has now said that the test is more or less ineffective as it takes 10 days for blood cells to grow. So an EPO user could take the drug 4-5 days before a test. At the test his red blood cell count would be low enough so as not to raise any eyebrows and he wouldn't ellicit a positive test for the drug.

Point being: they are working on an hGH test or they have one they are testing. They may have had a test but it was effective, practical, or it generated a false positive in the trials. With EPO usage there are plenty of signs that point to exogenous EPO administration, but will not ellicit a positive test for the drug and/or will not raise hematocrit or hemoglobin counts over the limit. I'm sure with hGH usage there are signs which point to exogenous hGH administration but they can't prove it emphatically.

exGH is detectable by all but the most stringent legal standards. A test is on the way.

There are no masking agents whatsoever that will have any effect on a legitimate test.

The "famous designers" mentioned are nothing more than knowledgeable bros.

BTW...as per the title of this thread.
Tip for anyone dealing with tests- the quickest way to test positive is to lose respect for the agency that tests you. Live in fear. It is your friend.
