which means it goes like shit off a shovel

holy gay

1.6? lololllo

you europeans and your cars kill me

The Renault Megane is a chick car for sure. You need the Renault Butch.

Except for the Renault Clio V6 I wouldnt touch these cars at all. Not my kind. As for the one you posted, not a chick car, just an underpowered ugly piece of iron. 1.6L...lol

Well then, what car purchase would you recommend for someone in Scotland for not very much money???

Considering that their road and traffic conditions are very different from what we have in North America, and that 1.6L is actually about two steps up from the usual 1.1L entry level car over there...

Traffic ? lol..... Come here buddy and spend a week in downton Montreal and trust me, the word traffic will take a new meaning. And still no one drives a 1.1L around here. But to answer your question (and assuming I was into econo boxes), I'd take a Toyota any day of the week over a Renault, Citroen, peugeot, Seat..... Echo hatchback used or a Yaris. But for $2000, you can get a used Mazda MX3 V6 1.8L. More hp and torque (which is what cares after all for traffic) and faster on the 0-60 while being very conservative with fuel consumption...

IMO, guys can get away with the color yellow for their vehicle only if it's a sport car like a corvette, etc., trucks or jeep wranglers. Again, IMO.

looks like a regular car. i know tough guys who drive much gayer/girlier cars (hyundai excels...the ultimate in fag mobiles imo) if it suits your budget in terms of purchase price/economy, buy it, and use the rest of the money elsewhere

id rather be in a small, clean car like that one than some bottom of the line 20 year old wannabe muscle car that stinks of wet carpets, cigarette butts, and that unnamable manky smell that seems to be in those sorts of cars that makes you feel really queasy about touching the upholstery

Uh, who said they have MORE traffic???

I bet driving in Montreal is not much different from any other North American city of similar size.

As for being "into econo boxes", what other choice does an impecunious young Scot have? They don't have muscle cars or big trucks over there.

I remember the little V6 MX3. Whopping 115 lb-ft of torque, you had to practically row it with the gear lever. It made a Honda seem like a stump-puller. And they're getting pretty long in the tooth, the V6 version was only sold in '92-'94.

North American members, myself included, are probably not able to give an informed opinion on this thread.

My first car was a MX3 GS lol. They made them from 92 to 96 (North America). For $2000 it's probably one of the best option for a small hatchback. 130hp and 115lbs at 4000rpm if im correct but only 1100kg... lol Still faster than a Civic EX (have you ever tired a 92-95 Civic at least ?). 4 disc brake (shitvics had rear drums), pretty good tranny and electric package unlike the Civics HB back then. And for peanuts, you could swap a KLZE bolt-on inside (200hp). I had so much with this little bug...(i know its a chick car lol).

Btw they have other choices there. It's pretty much like Spain, France, UK so they have access to the regular line-up including some trucks (Nissan, Toyota...).

he doesn't want a truck - he wants a small economical car.

I personally wouldn't get the car he is looking at, but I don't laugh at his choice.

you guys cant compare euro and us cars and driving, totally different

bor get the 2.0 16v version if you insist on megane

otherwise get a golf

bunch of mother fuckers !! lol... well, the only people round here that have over 2L is old ppl. lol. now all my friends ect ect have like 1.2L engins, thats the truth.. when i said i was after a 1.6 16V . my dad laughed and said id end up rapped round a tree because it would be to powerfull for me. !! LOL honestly im not fucking with u guys look at this...

lol cars round here are far to expensive to drive with big engins, all our roads are small narrow windy fuckers. i do alot of driving so i need something under a 2.0L for petrol purposes.. seeing as its like 4x more expensive to buy fule over here than it is over there !

for a gallon, i think we are over 5.00 uk pounds which is like 9-10$ a gallon !!!

LOL it's a 91 honda crx. 5 speed manual transmission. engine has 40,000 miles or less on it. I had to replace the motor, and got one from a company that imports them from Japan.
