Is it sexist to think this way?

A young woman's status should be either single or married, not POW or MIA. This war crap is getting to me. I get sick whenever I hear reports about female soldiers being harmed. There's a 19 year old girl from close to my home that's listed as missing. That's just wrong. Thanks for reading my sexist rant.

I agree with you on this one.

We have the ridiculous case here where an Australian couple, both of whom are in the military, are serving in Iraq at the present time. They have left a 2 year old daughter behind. The mother believes it's her duty to be over there. Fucking stupidity if you ask me.

Who's duty is it to look after a 2 year old child? Feminism gone out of control.

it is sexist

i believe in these modern times where women want equal treatment, they have just as much of a choice/obligation to go to war

Personally i think its wrong though, i don't think any women should be sent to war until every single man has been sent, although that would leave the country pretty vunlerable.

This certainly isn't the 1st time a woman has been a prisoner of war. Should we say women should not be allowed in the military? Because that's the only way to avoid it. Going to war is part of what being in the military is all about. It's not just for show. I'm wondering who here that thinks every man in the country should be sent before any woman is allowed to be has even served their country. I know I did.

The father is there too. Why is it not his duty to stay behind while she goes to Iraq?

This would be denying women the choice to go into the military and serve their country because someone else's values dictate that women should be "protected".

If a woman wants to go into combat it is not for others to tell her -as a free person in a free society - that she can't just because she doesn't have a penis.

Society would have you believe that men and women are the exact same thing. No matter how much people want to believe that, their beliefs will not influence biological reality.

There's honestly nothing I or you can do, though.
