is it hard to eat in the mornings for anyone?
i have trouble some times like i just don't have a appetite in the morning and have to force food down my throat.
 
I could eat anything in the morning. Eggs, oatmeal, steak and donuts. I just switched to an IF diet where I don't eat till noon, so I get up at 4:30 absolutely starving and gotta wait till lunch to eat. That I find hard!! Just water and 30 grams of bcaas.
 
I don't it anything until 12pm. I have read that in the morning your body metabolism is just starting to kick in and by eating breakfast (breaking your fast) you slow it down.
 
Whether you eat small meals or large meals at any time it spikes your metabolism proportionately to the size of your meal. Id post scientific studies but I'm on my phone.
 
yeah i hate it too, im up at 6am in office at 7am, so i've forced myself to greek yogurt and an apple each morning. i gotta say tho, energy and mental focus has really been much better overtime now at work in the morning because i actually eat SOMETHING.

Not at all man you got that flip flopped. Eating breakfast DURING the normal breakfast time spikes up your metabolism. Wherever you got this information from its wrong
 
when you eat it takes energy to break down and absorb energy. this is the thermal effect of food. so basically energy expended is directly equal to the amount of cals and nutrients in the meals. bigger meal eaten less often will result in a bigger metabolic boost but less often. smaller meals more frequently result in smaller boosts but more frequent. 2500 cal diet eaten in 3 meals or 6 still requires the same amount of energy to use up and absorb, thefor metabolic boost is the same throughout the day no matter how you split up your meals.

metabolic boost can slightly be boosted by eating in the morning by insulin sensitivity. but that is not due to some magical thing about the morning. insulin sensitivity is increased do to liver glycogen depletion as a result of not eating from 8-10 hours (small fast)

also though if you do not eat in the morning and 14-16+ hours past without eating your bady does not go into starvation mode. not for a minimum of 48 hours, and not usually till at least 72-96 hours.up until that 48 hours metabolism is actually increased from an evolutionary perspective. Epinephrine and norepinephrine (adrenaline/noradrenaline) sharpens the mind and makes us want to move around. Desirable traits that encouraged us to seek for food, or for the hunter to kill his prey in primitive times, increasing survival. therefor metabolic rate is increased in short fasts as well
 
your appetite is weak cause you are young. when you get older things will change. I am the hungriest when i wake up, you just went 8 hours without food!

another thing is if you eat trash all day then its gonna stunt your appetite. in other words eating hot dogs and pizza is gonna make you feel full and blah all day. when you eat nourishing foods you will want to eat more cause you won't feel like shit after eating.

also drink more water. drink before bed, drink during the night, drink in the morning. you probably are naseous from waking up de-hydrated all the time. even if you don't feel thirsty drink water.

if you want to excell in bodybuilding which everyone on here is trying to do you better learn to eat breakfast, not eating until 12pm as one guy in this thread said is starving the muscle and depleting your glycogen levels. not what you want to do when u r trying to build muscle mass.. and you better eat after a workout as well. stims will cripple your appetite so you need to stop messing around with them. 5 hour energy, red bull or any of that shit needs to be thrown in the trash.
 
Yeah I'm starting to eat a lot healthier and as for as stims I don't take any.
But I see where you are coming from about drinking water and eating bad
 
Read it in book called the "warrior diet' but thx for the info bro.

Warrior diet I believe is 20 hours a day without food. Good for cutting. If ur bulking eat all day every day. Just eat clean. Don't eat double big macs cuz it will add x000 cals to your daily total
 
I used to be crazy about eating in the morning. I woke up hungry every day, and couldn't do anything until I ate. Now, for the past few months, I'm not hungry at all in the morning, but I eat anyways.
 
Three most importants meals of the day are breakfast after 8 hrs of no food sleeping, pre workout & post workout. Bro, if u want to build muscle mass, never skip these meals tim ings ever.
 
Same here. But I observe that when I wake up as early as 5-7 AM, I feel hungry. It's only when I wake up later after that I don't seem to have appetite for breakfast.
 
i take my carbs in at breakfast so not really.. gives me energy for the whole day... standard rice/corn cereals with no sugar and with milk, of course.
