Ironmind 1993 Dimas SNatch and cleans clip

Whoa. His form didn't look so great, but that's some ridiculous weight. Power cleaning 400 without that much effort and squatting 500 something. Damn.

I do know what you mean by saying his form didn't look that great. It appears he has an elbow extension problem. This is okay, from a competition standpoint, as long as you show the referees and jury before you start lifting. The jumping back thing, as CCJ mentioned, is common amongst Bulgarian lifters. I certainly wouldn't teach anyone that and would try my best to train it out of the lifter if he/she were starting out. You can't complain about the results of the Bulgarians though, they always seem to get the job done.

I recommend the 1995 two tape set, Polish 2001, Bulgarian 1998, and 1993 tapes in that order. Well that's all I have here :)
But for the info shown and value, that's the order I would recommend them in.

I haven't seen all the others though - 1995 2 tape set has lots of variety as posted before with the Chinese kids etc
Polish 2001 is slower but most like a proper training session posted short snippet before - only 3 different lifters, but packed with visual info,
1998 Bulgarian - mostly huge lifts like only the Bulgarians know how in their own training hall,
1993 tape is pre World Championship mainteniance lifting as shown in the clips here - I don't like the venue or vibe, but great lifters shown.

Thanks again CCJ for taking the time to edit those and put them on line. It does make for interesting discussions :)

You just don't comprehend how strong and explosive these guys are until you see them lifting in motion, and try the lifts yourself :)

I have deadlifted 405lbs before and it's a heavy load, I can't possibly acclerate it, but these guys can...crazy!

Anyway I want to post a clip of Kaki later on, just wanted to show how precise this guy is with 400+lbs, he's not explosive like these other guys here in the way he lifts. But everything is so super smooth and buttery, no wasted motion or needless shake. There is plenty of speed and power there, but he's doing it so effortlessly that it looks like he's lifting with just the bare bar.
