I took video and stills of the Strongman competition with my digitial camera, so I was limited to 60 second vids.


The equipment they're using leaves a lot to be desired. In the farmer's carry medley one of the leg supports broke on the very first competitor. So....if 4 legs ain't enough to hold what are the odds that 3 will? That'd be zero! On the 2nd or 3rd guy another leg broke so they prop'ed it up on a couple 45's. On the 3rd part of the Farmer's Carry they are walking with 800 POUNDS! I believe the stones went from 210 to 400 lbs...dunno what that big ass rock weighed but it's a monster.


Saturday:

Kevin Nee - 7.8MB

Jesse Marunde - 4.9MB. Afterwards Jesse grabs the mic and tells the audience (and Ortmayer) he stopped at 10 reps because he thinks that's enough to beat him. Here's Travis' response...watch the end.

The apparatus comes apart on his last rep and it hits the ground so hard the handles bent.

Power Medley:

Pretty sad how being a FITNESS board this thread has not received a single reply as of yet. A testament to the erosion of quality fitness minded folks around these parts nowadays.

Some huge lifts. The 3rd leg of the farmers walk is the most impressive. Those are 100 lbs plates?? If so that's over 800 lbs. You sure about that???

Very nice. They never have a show in Canada (or at least not that I've noticed). It's too cold.
