On behalf of Elite, I would like to welcome Dr. Blau's input on some of the very basic questions we often see on here.

1) When having surgery, is it best to have the entire gland removed?

2) Are there any tips/suggestions one could utilize in successfully having their insurance company cover the cost (minus co-pay)

3) After surgery, what are recovery times like? How long before returning to work? Before returning to the gym?

4) After surgery (assuming the gland was removed) does gyno ever come back?

5) Prior to having surgery is it a good idea or not for the patient to begin dieting down and shedding body fat?

I don't even know what you mean by that.



There are hundreds of good members here who can give you their opinion about how to prevent gynecomastia or even treat mild steroid induced Gyno.
But we really don't have anybody here who can answer questions about Gynecomastia correction surgery.
I figured that bringing the Dr. who does more Gynecomastia corrections than any other surgeon in the country would be a good way to fill in that gap.

i had gyno surgery and it came back!

when i hop on research chems my nips itch and flare up STILL!

I read something about marijuana use on your site doc. I'm not the sharpest knife in the drawer, hell, probably not even the sharpest spoon...what does weed have to do with gyno? I'm confused.

I always wanted to visit new york..... And after I had discussions with my wife's Cosmetic Surgeon, I was a bit disappointed in her lack of knowledge about removing the glandular tissue... I think that Dr. Blau's experience with bodybuilders increases his value. he seems to be a true specialist.... One whom I will most likely contact in the near future.

Marijuana use is a possible cause for Gynecomastia for some people. There are other causes like Aspirin and many more. It is important to know that they do not effect everybody, only people that have some disposition. Unfortunately the reason is unknown.

wow, that i did not know---so those people who do eca cutting stacks with an asprin component should be careful if prone?
 
Hello Dr. Blau. I am very grateful for you being here because i have a major concern. I still have what appears to be scar tissue underneath a nipple i had gynecomastia surgery on in August. It is frustrating because in my mind it looks worse than before surgery. It is about the size of half a ping pong ball. The other side is very good though, almost no scar tissue. Is this common and will it go away in the following months? In your opinion, would I need another surgery to fix this? Thanks for your time.
 
Dr. Blau, I was curious about the effect of liposuction on the abdominal region for bodybuilders. For those that are looking to get down into the very low bodyfat percentages, can abdominal liposuction help for those of us with an uneven distribution of fat around the midsection, abdominal, back and sides? Are the results unnatural looking?? I have heard that the tissues do not reconnect perfectly after the trauma of lipo. Any thoughts would be appreciated.

i'm new to this board and am wondering if anyone has used dr blau for specifically loose skin in the abdominal area?

if so i'd love to see a picture. dr blau has alot of tummy tuck pictures but the patients started out very heavy. you can see my abs but i'd like to sharpen them up with some lipo and remove this loose chicken skin i have

Hi Dr & others

I desperately need help

Since your an expert on the subject, Im desperately seeking for an expert who could guide me through the process of getting rid of my Gynecomastia

Stats:
I weigh 72 Kgs and my height is 5'7

History: I've had puffy nips since puberty, Im 24 years old now and 3 years back i started gymming and took a mega mass supplement and now i have big puffy nips with a saggy chest. I dont as such have lumps behind the nips ..they're just very puffy and soft.

I started working out and loosing weight again to see if it was just fat but that didnt work and as i left gym the nips got more puffy and soft.

I've heard Femera Letrozole + Nolvadex is a good combination to combat gynecomastia but along with it i dont have any idea of its usage and the tapering process. I also dont understand the term "Post cycle or during a cycle" that is commonly referred to overhere.
Also while starting these medications do i have to be working out ? Coz i do jog an hour everyday..is that good enough?

Also what are the side effects of these drugs and do i need to get any tests done before i can start them?

I would be looking forward to a reply from your side

If you can't find any bros who've had that procedure done, you can always call his office ask for before and after pictures. He has some pics in his HD that they didn't have room for on the site.
 
Fellas-

From someone who has been on this board for years and already had one gyno surgery done , I can tell you first hand that Dr. Blau is incredible ! He gives you a consultation and then says let me know what you want to do. He doesnt pressure you to do anything. He leaves it up to you, since he has so many peole come to him.

His staff is very very inviting. They make you feel like you are there for a routine checkup. The minute you walk into his office, you feel very comfortable. Just the way it is setup, the friendliness of the ladies at the front desk is the best.

You go into the pre-op room, ask a few questions...walk into the operating room, get your local and you are out. When you wake, it seems like it was five minutes. You are a little sore, depending on what things you have had done. (If gyno, then not too sore.)

Dr. Blau is so calm and confident, as is the rest of the staff, due to the thousands of surgeries they perform, you will not feel any stress minus your natural concern of the procedure itself. I felt like i was going to get a checkup with my local doctor, it was that easy.

For anyone who is thinking of doing the surgery, I strongly reccomend you make the trip to White Plains as it is well worth the results you will obtain. He is not overly expensive, but is not the cheapest, but you have to ask yourself...it is your body, don't you want the best thing for it, not something that you can get done for a 15% discount, only to pay the price in the long run? This is not a car or a UG product to roll the dice on and hope to get "good results", when having this done, you want it done 100% correctly and done by the best, as it will last forever ! Don't take chances to save a few bucks.

The area around the nipple blends in, so a little massaging of that area and if you beliee in Viatmin E oil or other things, then use it is as well, but even my first one, I never had a scar as it blends.

i agree--why risk surgery by anyone but a doc like Br. Blau with a proven track record and the endorsement of so many happy patients who are alos bros on this board
