reminds me of how odd us 'fitness freaks' are. We take all kinds of exotic supplements, 5-10 pills a day without a thought, but we're so quick to latch onto irrational hysteria. One thing I find quite funny is MSG, which is just the sodium salt of glutamate. According to various studies this amino acid can cause all kinds of crazy things, yet here we are consuming it readily in our meat to get that sacred 1 g/lb requirement. And some of us even spend 30-50 dollars on glutamine supplements which is essentially glutamate minus an extra amine group. Although if you're sodium sensitive, then I could see how MSG should be cut or reduced. Anyways just an observation.
