State laws differ on this matter as do store/pharmacy policy. Though the state law may say you don't need a RX the store may require it.

Have you researched your local laws on the matter?

I have never had any problems at Wal-Mart btw.

Then I would guess it was just that pharmacy's policy. Have you gotten syringes there b4?

There is 2 pharmacy's in town that are like this. One won't sell syringes unless you have a script for an injectible prescription. Another won't sell insulin without a RX. Everywhere else in town is ok and our state law says we can.

I would try another pharmacy like wal-mart.

The pharmacy has to be licenced to sell non-script pins, Eckards is/rite aid is/Walmart is dirt cheap..i pay cents a piece for them.

In Atlanta, you can buy regular IM syringes with no script and no problem. But you can't buy insulin syringes without a script for insulin. They do this because no heroin junkie wants to use a 23g.

just order online then .. easy and less hassle

^^^ Yep. I think it's up to the pharmacist, too. Even if it's legal, they can still refuse to sell. I had trouble at CVS one day because the broad asked how much insulin I take and I told her the pins weren't for insulin. Total crap.

bump -

just ordered a week ago online and have already had them delivered no questions asked. It takes about 3 minutes online.
