Ok! Lets start from here, so you injected last thursday, Right?

If it's getting bigger, that means it is filling up with puss( that creamy gooey stuff)See a Dr. and get antibotics

Sorry it happened to you bro!

RADAR

OUCH dude, I've had that before but in the glutes. Have you been injecting into the same shoulder the whole time? What happened to me is, the oil didn't desipate properly and just carried on adding more and more and therefor is swelled up and was damn painful for about 2-3weeks. Maybe try a different spot on your shoulder or stick to glutes, much easier and less sore IMO.

Hope you come right, otherwise you gonna have to see a doc as Radar mentioned.

Sorry bro

lol, you have an emergency and you come to ef? normaly i go to the EMERGENCY room... lol

I'd see a doctor bro.

He's probably nervous. Everyone that it happens to hopes it isnt happening and there is a way to avoid ER. It happened to airsmith2k he was stuck there for days draining puss. He also tried a Greg Valentino do it yourself puss removal with no help. Abcesses are no joke remember your injecting into the muscle which ultimately bypasses all your bodies defenses and goes into your bloodstream

go to the er to be on the safer side.

I had a huge abcess on my ass one time, it was one of the most painful things I've been through! It was so deep down in the muscle, it felt like someone sewed my wallet into my ass and I was sitting on it. The area was red and extremely hot. I was a dumb ass and didnt go to the emergency room. I took some levaquin for a week and everyday sucked the puss out of it,and it healed thank God, but abscesses can be deadly, so please go to the e-room and get it fixed! Hate to lose a fellow bodybuilder!

It has no pain what so ever. It is not hot to the touch. In a way its just there. I feel that it has gotten a little smaller. Should i still be worried? And if i do go to the hospital, from experience what should i say and is there any type of trouble i can get in?

If I had strong anti-biotics around, at least a one week course, and it was my shoulder, I would drain it. Being that it's not hot or red, usually means a sterile abcess. It has visibly come to the surface meaning it's prob. not deep, which is a good sign. It won't go away on it's own, however. I am not advising or recommending medical advice to you in any way, but I might fix it on myself. The hospital isn't going to believe you if you look like you lift weights! They might lecture you about those b-12 shots, but you won't get in any trouble, they will just help you and send you home. Better safe than sorry!

if you go, tell them you do b12 injections. telling them you do gear could affect your insurance coverage now and later down the road etc... an abcess is an abcess, they are docs and will probably know its from aas, but they cant prove it unless you tell them

sometimes when i inject into my side delts i can see a small but broad lump for a day

usually happens with primo, but it goes away and never causes pain

if your bump has a distinct shape and feel to it i would not take a chance

go to the ER and say it was a b12 shot

Ok, I had the same thing on my glutes last week. I got nervous as hell and drained a little myself. Then I took some of my kid's amoxicillin and used a warming patch. So far so good, mostly gone now, but I am not a doc, so it is something you have to gauge yourself.

I sterilized the entire area with 91% alcohol thoroughly. Then, inserted the pin halfway into the original site, at the highest or most affected "point", and aspirated the fluid out. In my case, many times. When done, I sterilized the entire area again, and bandaged it. I was dumb, but once again, you should go to the doctor!

I used a 18 gauge needle, and sterolized the hell out of it and stuck it in the softest area, which for me was smack in the middle of the lump and sucked out the infection. You may just have a build up of oil, I know guys that use the same techinque to drain the extra oil. It is not very pretty but it worked for me, but again, I am not a doc. I just was too nervous to see a doc and tell them that I am shooting up with gear. I thought it was a better chance to drain it myself and if it did not work, well atleast I tried before I had to see the doc. But like you, my lump was not too bad, and I felt that if my plan did not work, I had time to see the doc. Again, something you have to think about. It is better to see the doc, but I did not have that option for personal reasons.

+1 ^^^^^^^^^

also YES you technically should go to the doc. But I can totally understand you not wanting to go. I'm not saying you shouldnt go, and I have no medical training here, but I would assume if it was an actual abcess, It would be painful by now and also at least warm/red in that area. When I get a shot in my delt i sometimes get a hard lump there for a few days too. (never shot gear in a delt tho). Are you using inch pins? did you get between muscles instead of directly in? If it is an abcess, even if you "did" get it drained yourself(which i'm not advocating) you still need antibiotics!!! .
Best of luck to you bro.

We really shouldn't be promoting self draining of an abcess. Nobody here is a doctor (to my knowledge) and i think it is worth the doctors visit and bill to have it done right then risk fucking up and losing your arm or your life. Just some common sense talk......

I agree 100% that you should always see your doctor first, but some people do not have that ability. Some individuals are in the military, and do not share that doctor patient privilege. There are numerous health insurances that will cancel your coverage if they find out if your are taking illegal drugs, as this willviolate their policy, as you become a "high risk" coverage.

how about being honest? they're doctors - they're not retarted. believe me, they have seen a lot worse than some juice head coming into the ER with a sore shoulder.
though, no, I am not from the US so I cannot speak regarding your health care and thus Insurance, here in the Great White North (Canada for the slower folks) he could be injecting gasoline into his delts and it still would not make a difference for his insurance. the docs are there to help you - not judge you. people are brought into the ER everyday OD'ing - they do not lose their insurance (well, like I said - at least not here in Canada).
For God sake - be honest - quit F&%!ing around and go to the doc. its your body nobody on here is a doc (well, none that I know of) and even if they were -they cannot properly diagnose you over the net.
quit asking questions here for medical advice and ask the RIGHT PEOPLE - DOCTORS.

The problem here in the us is that the medical induatry is manipulated by the insurance companies. IMO, the insurance companies own medical practice in the US. But that is for another discussion...

Bro, if you know any doctors that can give you some advice w/o an ER visit, then ahve one of them look at it. If not, it sounds like a sterile abcess for now, but it can still get infected. You need to rotate injection sites from now on.

Maybe we should start a sticky with a "Ten Commandments of Gear Usage" with rotating injection sites on there somewhere, lol...

been their. told the doc I injected testosterone. maybe they assumed is was by a perscription, idk, but they treatd me and I recovered just fine. even lee preist got an infection in his delt a few years back. it happens to the best of us.

well, here in the great US of A, insurance companies will drop you for anything the can, especially drug usage. and if they dont drop you they will jack your rates up sky high. here, if you od, the first people they call are the police. the last thing i want is for the police to know i use illegal drug, my insurance company to know i use illegal drugs, or anybody for that matter to know i use illega drugs. did i mention that aas are illegal drugs? therefore i say, lie like hell!!! go to the doc, but dont admit to anything.
