Inhibition of PH/PS absorption by dietary fiber?

Okay, it's pretty much common knowledge that dietary fiber binds cholesterol in the digestive tract, lowering the amount that gets absorbed into the bloodstream.

Well, cholesterol and all other sterols (including ProHormones, ProSteroids, etc.) share the same basic 4 carbon ring structure, with different side groups.

Would it be safe to say that taking PH's with a fiber containing meal would lessen the amount absorbed into the bloodstream?

I don't believe that if you took your PH with a meal that "contains" fiber it wold have any effect on te PH. I think that if you ingested a very high fiber supplement or meal around the same time you took your PH that it May and say May inhibit in someway the amount of PH absorbed. Most all PH's should be taken with a meal ad alot of meals contain fiber so as long as you don't go take som nasty tasting fiber drink like metamusal I thinkyou should be ok. I really question if fiber intake would have any effect on the PH, and although it does make sense, I think I better do some research on this topic before I could safely say whether it did inhibit aborbtion in some way. Just another topic I have to go research. :)

PS: Fogg im still lookig for an answer to that Vitamin-E question, I have been looking oline and through my research materials at home but I should have a better chance when I get back to the lab at work on monday and ask some others what they think.

Thanks for the input, NS. Regarding the vitamin E issue, the only thing even kind of close that I could find was a research abstract here:

http://www.urmc.rochester.edu/path/fac/shuyuan_yeh.htm

A blurb in the abstract stated: "VES can also suppress the androgen receptor (AR) expression." (VES referring to Vitamin E Succinate.)

Other than that though, I'm still at a loss...

Food itself inhibits the absorption of many things, not even all the food you ingest gets properly digested. Throwing PH's in the mix to me doesn't seem like a smart idea. And fiber inhibits even the absorption of protein, I wouldn't take any PH w/ fiber. If you want to take PH w/ fats, I'd opt for Flaxseed oil, Vitamin E, Fish oil, or something of that nature to take w/ the PH, but not whole food in large amounts.
