Hey everyone,
The guys from the Anabolic Forum said I should post this here.
I'm totally new here just found the site while cruising the net looking for some physique advice. I'm a pro wrestler. I've been to two camps run by one of the national companies this year and was told the same thing after both that when it comes to my wrestling and my promos I've got what it takes and I'm ready, but my body isn't what it needs to be. They basically told me to lose the love handles and I'm good to go.
I've been lifting seriously for almost ten years. I'm 6'0"-6'1" 220 lbs currently and in the last ten years I've been as big as 250 lbs and as small as 185 lbs and my body composition hasn't been all that much different at any of those weights. I've tried tons of different supplements and diets over the years, but none have ever made a huge difference.
I'm trying to maintain my weight (getting smaller than 220 just isn't an option if I want a job) and drop some fat around my middle. I would prefer not to use anything illegal since if I were offered a job they would drug test me.
Could anyone recommend any diet ideas or legal supplements that might help me out?
I currently lift 4 days a week. Do cardio on the elliptical at least four days a week. Do wrestling training once or twice a week? I have wrestling show once or twice a week? I also work full-time and do freelance work on the side. I typically sleep 4-6 hours a night during the week and 6-8 hours a night on the weekend.
For the last 6th months or so I've done a pretty strict 40-50% protein, 30% carbs, 20% fat diet. I cheat usually one day a week. During that time I've leaned out some, but not to the necessary level. I've been thinking about trying the CKD, but I'm not totally sold on it. I did a low carb (>10grams per day) diet years ago for 4 months and lost a ton of weight, but I didn't really see a huge difference in terms of body composition. I did get leaner, but as soon as I ate carbs puffed back out again within days. So for someone in my position do I try the CKD for 2 months and see if it's doing anything for me. Do I stick with 50/30/20 and just try to limit my carbs in the evening or make some other change?
Thanks for your help any advice is greatly appreciated,
mark
