improve fitness while bulking

i need to improve my fitness.. cos i got something coming up, but i want to keep bulking... is it possible to improve your fitness while still bulking? or would all that cardio mess up the muscle growth completely. i just need to be able to like run for longer etc. :| would anyone recommend anything?
 
Look at the thread on the 3 day per week oprogram and try it. Improves total body conditioning.
 
Bulking is just a matter of caloric intake, so as long as your calories are still high, cardio wont effect mass in a negative way. Just keep carbs up while running.
 
I'm doing the 3 day thread Corn mentioned and I'm going to start doing cardio and abs on Tues and Thurs (normally my off days). I'll be charting my progress there if you're interested.

I up the cardio while still packing it on....I don't want to cut all the progress I made. I'm keeping this muskels awhile.........
 
i think it would be the easiest when you are maintaining a low bodyfat percentage, but i think in order to do it while bulking cardio, jump rope, and maybe some boxing on a punching bag would help a lot.

i really wanna do cardio as much as possable... witout losing 2 much weight so i can improve fitness as fast as possable

what are your suggestions on the best forms of cardio if trying to maintain weight?? cos i really dont give a rats ass about losing fat

also would i stick to my normal buking routine? with reps and sets?

and when should i do the cardio? morning? before workout? after?

I think that it depends on how advanced that you are. Guys who are normally in the 175-240lb range dont' tend to have a lot of problems bulking while increasing cardiovascular shape...but larger guys can not do that. You have to do one or the other...or you will end up with something like a shampoo/conditioner in one. Neither of them will be very good.

What is it you need to get ready for? Are you goin to spring break? Im an exercise science major at ISU and i have talked to my instructors about that same question, and he said that adding cardio is great while still bulking, because it increases your aerobic capacity, or VO2max(how much oxygen your body could use efficiently before the build up of CO2 it too great). you want to also increase your hearts cardiac output through aerobic exercise buy increasing your hearts stroke volume so oxygen and nutrients could get out to your muscles.
