True, but 75% of guys will piss their pants as soon as the cops beat on their door and be easily coerced into confession. The cops will say,

"C'mon, we know you're lying. Just tell us you ordered it and we'll get you out of this mess. You're not a bad guy. Help us so we can help you get this over with."

Next thing ya know the receiver will have diarreah of the mouth in hopes that the "nice guy" cops will just go away and let him off with a warning. No such luck. Receiver will have now admitted guilt and be hauled off to jail. No plea bargain to barter either since it's an almost guaranteed conviction with a confession.

Be careful. Most domestic sources do not send packs that have to be signed for. If you got a card in your mailbox stating you have a pack to pick up...you are probably safe going to get it....BUT you said the post office called you?!? That right there is a RED flag my friend. Why are you so important that they are taking time out of their busy day to call you? As said earlier, a detective isnt going to sit there all day waiting on you to pick up a pack...probably true....HOWEVER, the post office doesnt need a detective to wait on you....when you go pick up that pack, the clerk will go to the back. You will be waiting for what seems like forever. A new person will show up with the pack named "The Postmaster General" His office is there at the Post office. HE CAN ARREST YOU. I would call it a loss myself.

The only people getting busted on the property of the post office are the ones that use P.O. Boxes. If you have a street address that it is going to, they are not going to call you down to the post office to bust you. They are going to bust you at home. Why? Because that increases the chance of them finding additional things to charge you with. Guns, rec drugs, hot cable boxes, INFORMATION ABOUT THE ROID GAME, whatever else. The reason they do this is because smart guys know that unless they have been charged/arrested of a crime before, they will cop a First Offender's Plea which gurantees you no jail time. (although some cases like rape, murder, etc.. First Offender is not given as an option.) So they bust you at home, you might escape the possession/distribution charge, but they land some more charges on you for weapons, recs, etc... and you are not going to be given many other alternatives. The more they charge you with the stronger the case. The law works in ways that benefit them. Not you.

And keep in mind that they don't have to bust you right away, they can keep that evidence for on down the road. When they get close to nailing someone big and they need the final nail in the coffin. That is when you are rounded up at 5AM in the morning and taken to the station and told "14 months ago you received a package from XXXXXXXX that contained XXXXXXX and XXXXXXX in these quantities..(pulls out photographs and sheets)..." That's when they start in with "it can all go away if you do this...." type of shit.

So let's be reasonable. People beat on their chests and cry about "I won't ever snitch". That's bullshit. The only people that don't snitch are the ones who don't have the option cause the cops don't need their cooperation. They wait until the time is right, you just got married, you are currently in a divorce/child custody fight, you lost your job, etc... then they come knocking and your ass doesn't have a chance to consider anything else.

So take a good look in the mirror and ask yourself are you really being as safe as you possibly can? Is the potential trouble worth doing this for when most of you won't even achieve a physique good enough for International Male no matter how much shit you use?

he could live in a town with only a few residents and a small post office. they may be doing that as a courtesy in case he didnt get the card, ever think of that? i wouldnt see calling him in a large metro area but a small hometown sure

AAP, not pickin an argument with you or callin you out, I have much respect for you. What I have to question you about here is how can 14 months down the road one be arrested for accepting a package? I'm not familiar with any particular laws, but I don't see how this could hold up in a court of law.

when the dea/fbi starts a drug case they will make controlled buys for up to a year from the dealer. when the shit hits the fan, all of the charges will be applied from the first controlled buy to the last, to whatever the dealer had in posession when he was finally busted. the same goes for an instance with steroid buyers.

In my state they can wait 7 years to bust you from the date you commited any felony, but it's usually somewhere between 1 to 3 months. 7 years would be the max and apply mostly towards you if you were part of a huge ongoing investigation. I mean John Gotti huge.

Federal charges as this would also be are probably what matty420 is referring to. State and federal laws are different but you could be charged with both.

Massive 1000 brings up a good point about the postmaster general possibly arresting you. I'd write it off as a loss. You shouldn't be spending more than you can afford to lose anyway. If you did, think of it as an expensive lesson, but less costly overall than jail.
