That's standard post office protocol-at least where I live. It could be a controled delivery, but are they really going to pay a detective to sit around at the post office waiting for someone to come pick up a package??? What if that person says they're on they're way and something comes up where they can't make it there before closing time? Are they gonna pay the cop to come sit around again the next day for another opportunity to bust the guy when the guy could get killed in a car accident on the way or have more important things to do?
Believe me, I'm one of the most paranoid(cautious) guys here but based on the information given, I see no reason for everyone to be on red alert specifically for GA Labs. I also think that a controled delivery at your crib, on site, makes for a better case than being called in to take a fuckin'. For all the person being called knows their mother is mailing them an early X-mas present and it needs to be signed for. I guarantee you the return addy/sender name isn't GA Labs Inc. 123 Juicer Street Biggsville, Texas USA, so how can a person know exactly who/what is in the package or who it was from (beyond a reasonable doubt)? It would be pretty tough to prove any wrongdoing in court. A home, signed, delivery isn't much different. It just seems more provable in court than being some innocent victim lured to the Post Office to get wrongfully busted for something they may have known nothing about.
What if I ordered a package of X-large buttplugs online and had it sent to stewfoos home address as a surprise birthday present? Should he just never sign for a package again in case it's drugs???
