wont the mechanical breakdown of food raise the rate by which carbs are absorbed into bloodstream (think surface area) thereby and effectively raising the glycemic index of the meal?
just a thought that came to me...
PS: I DO think chewing meat well is a good idea... it should be more readily absorbed by the body and less will end up going through you.
