I'm so glad Big Brother is here to keep me safe!

You know, its perfectly legal in this country for men to:

1) Have the penis and testicles surgically removed, diced up, and then patched together and sewn back onto the pubic region as a mock-vagina

2) To have breast implants inserted, ribs removed from the torso to give a more hour glass shape, buttock implants inserted, the face reconstructed, and many other feminizing and dangerous surgical procedures performed

3) To take female hormones, use female bathroom facilities, use female changing rooms, and marry as a woman

But, getting caught with 200 dianabol, a joint, or a few poppy pods to brew in a natural, pain-killing tea will land you in jail?!?

Disgusting. Simply fucking disgusting.

Our laws are thus for our benefit?

No, not for our benefit:

1) Most plastic surgeons require psychiatric evaluation before they will do the procedure, but many do it even if the psychiatrist does not approve of the individual in question receiving it.

2) The procedure itself requires tens of thousands of dollars to preform, and often several surgeries per area are required before the mutilation is considered a success, adding to the bill.

3) Prescribing female hormones requires routine blood work, office visits, the hormones themselves, and a pharmacist to fill the bottles up.

Every step of the way the AMA (American Medical Association) is getting paid its dues, turning the finacial contributions of medical professionals into the votes that keep money-making mutilations legal; votes cast by our elected officials who sell us out for vacations, cars, campaign contributions, etc.

Medical professionals get paid, lobbyists get paid, politicians get paid, and we now have the legal right to try and change our gender through slicing, stuffing, stitching, sawing, grinding, burning, etc., and the freedom to pay out the ass for it, but are thrown in cages and jailed for taking androgens to build muscle or for growing poppies on OUR land that can be used as a natural, organic pain killers rather than going to see a fucking doctor, who quite frankly doesn't really know if you're really in pain or just lying to get pain killers, that is just going to charge you $70 for taking your pulse, listening to your heart, writing a fucking prescription for vicodin, and, if you're lucky, asking you to cough, essentially giving you $110 later WHAT YOU COULD VERY WELL HAVE GROWN IN YOUR OWN FUCKING BACKYARD FOR FREE.

Open your eyes, people. Do any of you remember first learning our nation's history as young children? Didn't it make you proud to live here and salute the flag, knowing our country believed in truth, justice, and freedom? Whatever all that meant, we have been told as children, adolescents, and as adults how "free" we are, how "wonderful" our country is, and how "lucky" we are to have been born into such "opportunity" as surrounds us.

In reality, we are free only to give money to those who've bought off our leaders and paid to remove our ability to choose another.

Our country is only wonderful in the sense that ignorance is bliss.

How lucky are we to raise children in a country where our leaders are like whores, who for example jump into bed with the alcohol lobby because it pays them enough to suck the big, fat dick that every alcohol-related death or hurt adds inches to; some guys like to suck dick, I guess.

And thank God we all have the opportunity to bend over and cough three times for the gaurds before locked in a cage should we smoke marijuana instead of take shots of Bacardi 151. That is of course ONLY if you get caught, charged, and find yourself without enough money to afford OJ's defense team.

How do you feel now? Do you feel free? Is Big Brother watching out for you, or is he cashing in on your gulibility?

big brother doesn't give a shit about human life anymore, the law isn't a tool to protect people but an independent entity which must be blindly obeyed now. A prosecutor and police officer will victimize anyone whose name comes across their desk just as visciously as any street criminal will victimize you. The best you can hope for is to outsmart them by keeping things underground. The laws themselves will never change.

Very deep, brother.

Critical.

How about a government that serves the people, regaurdless of size?

Our country has lagged behind SO many other countries, many of which have more socialist governments, with respect to the severity of punishment given those caught driving while intoxicated. However, we, the public, continue to push for stricter laws to remain safe on the road while the laws still lag behind.

Were these socialist governments WRONG when driving intoxicated was more severely punished in their country than our laws called for at that same time, even though we have now have adopted the same laws once so different than ours?

Or, maybe our politicians knew, when mothers of children killed by drunk drivers began to speak the truth of how ineffective our laws were, that to keep the system working for them they'd have to take a rain check and vote not for the benefit of their own greed but for the good of the people.

Maybe we here really are stupid enough to think, when we lag so far behind dozens of other countries educating our own children, that we really do know better.

What's that? Open door test, you say? Just because our immagration policy is one of the most relaxed and encouraging of any country doesn't mean our country is better than, say, Canada with respect to personal freedom, justice, and numerous other "qualities" we Americans tell ourselves our country is Top Dog of.

The truth is this; our tax dollars are sent around the world in the form of "poilitical/economical aid," and this aid often precipitates public interest, acceptance, and the embrace of our culture and way of life. But, how do they learn our culture in the first place, you ask? Hollywood, mass media, our music, text books, religious aid, etc. These people become ensnared by the same thing that keeps our own home-grown citizens sold on our own greatness. AND, thanks to our liberal immagration and foreign aid policies, we make it very, very easy for foreigners sold on America to get here and stay here. We even pay for their tickets and take care of them when they arrive!

But, does this make America the best place on Earth to live, or do Bay Watch babes, fast food, and our own stupidity make it seem so?

The US lags across the board in so many areas, yet people don't talk much about the numbers, do they? Until we live overseas in a community without a tenth the prisons, violence, poverty, or strife, these numbers mean nothing to us.

Shrinking government won't fix our problem, unfortunately.

I like to think there is hope seeing as how today, a handful of countries have evolved cultures that are very "hunter-gatherer"-like in that the people seem much more unified and far less individualistic, despite populations that greatly exceed the average tribe or group number of fifty or so relations or distant relations by the hundreds of thousands.

A large government by nature will do a poor job of serving the people due to exactly what you see here: paternalism and over-governance.

Personal responsability :)

Frack, when you speak of the "size" of a government, do you mean its budget, millitary might, duties in society...?

I think of large governments as being more "socialist," where more resources are controlled and distributed by the government, with the increase in function creating a larger federal work force.

Some of the most "socially" successful governments of Europe and Asia are socialist, having little crime, poverty, drug addiction, unemployment, disease, etc., and better educational systems producing, by age 18, students that score much higher in mathematics, science, world history, and geography.

I'm not a socialist, but perhaps the unity and cohesiveness seen within the population of some very successful socialist democracies will produce a government that is not only powerful but also just; united under an ideal that is attainable, sustainable, and that inspires people to act unselfishly for the benefit of all peoples and all countries.

For now, why don't we all just vote buddhists into public office and see what happens :)
