i'm setting up two friends of mine. think it'll work?

Her: friend of a friend i see at parties all the time. she's fat. getting her PhD in chemistry at NYU. half peruvian, half irish. great personality, very fun. 23 years old and hasn't had a boyfriend since high school.

Him: i used to work with him. Italian. Computer science degree- now he works for a software company making apps for facebook. He used to be fat but has lost some weight and is now... "chunky". but close to fat. he's super fun, 25 or 26, lives at home and I don't know when he last had a gf. great personality- very sweet and sensitive.

Vey well put description of PuddleMonkey. Tell your friend he can't cum, cause her being overweight I would not want to see her exert herself working for the gravy she ain't gonna get.
 
Does he make a ton of cash? In which case he may think he's too good for her.

Although fatties make the best couples because they are so happy to be getting laid.
 
depends on how you go about it

blind date / they know they are getting set up: imho, is only gonna work for people who would have mutual attraction off the bat.

i would find a way for them to get to know eachother without either knowing they are being set up

so far, so good. they both wanted to be set up. She saw his facebook pics and said he was cute (he can be 'cute' in pics, or he can look like shrek). He did not see her pics but wanted me to set them up. so this weekend i wrote to them both on facebook and introduced them, said how i knew them both and that i wanted to introduce them because they are both fun and easy to talk to and I know how hard it is to meet people.
he friend requested her, she accepted, he looked through her pictures and said he would like to get to know her more. which is surprising because she has a GAWD awful pic in there. So now they are talking on their own.

yay!
