Hi! I'm new to this. I am 5'5 and 135lbs right now. I'm 22 years old and am the heaviest that I've ever been. I have a 4-year-old daughter and lost all my baby weight within 10 months after she was born. When me and my boyfriend got together almost 2 years ago I was 118lbs. My biggest trouble spot is my tummy, I dont know if its b/c the skin was stretched out when I was pregnant so it looks flabbier easily? I just want to get in shape and tone up and lose about 15 or so pounds. I'm not on any diet right now, I did the South Beach diet a while back and lost 10lbs, then I gained 15 back! I was wondering if anyone had some sugestions as to a diet, specific workouts, or anything that will help me to my goal. I need to feel good about myself again!!

Welcome! I am fairly new to this as well. But I do know that we have quite a few very educated and helpful ladies (and gents) here too, that will be here to help answer any questions you may have about diet, exercise, or anything else you have concerns over. First off we'll need to get info on what your diet and exercise are like. Diet being what you eat, when you eat and the portions of it all. Next, what type of exercise do you do? Run/walk/weights, how often, time intervals etc etc. I know someone else will post soon w/any more questions and/or answers for you. I still consider myself a "semi-newbie" always learning new things everyday, can never get too much knowledge. Anyways, like I said welcome to the EF family!

Welcome!

Check out the threads at the top - the stickies. There is 2 in particular - "New to the women's board? Start here!" and "Links to Top Threads". They will give you lots of information to help guide you! :)

Welcome :qt:

What is your current diet. List out specifics exactly what you eat and when. Also do you know what your bodyfat % is? Oh and what kind of weight lifting do you do or have you done in the past? Please also check out the stickies at the top of the page there is a lot of excellent info there on both diet and training.

Welcome to the board. The women on here are full of knowledge and information on diet and workouts. I am new on here as well and have the same trouble spots as you. Diet is the majority of it. There are alot of women on here who have before and after pics and its unbelievable to transformation they made just from their diet and work out. Good luck.

Welcome to the board! :)
One thing I can say to you without knowing all of your stats is that any "diet" you go "on" and "off" will not help you. Your diet needs to be consistant and a life change - meaning you don't go on and off. You stick to certain foods that work for you - all the time.

As they said before me.....read the sticky's - lots of good info. there!

Thanks for the responses from everyone! I am currently not working out, I eat 3 times a day 9:00am, around 2:00pm, and around 7:00pm. As far as my diet I pretty much just eat whatever, I'm not on a specific diet. I was hoping to get some ideas as to what I should be eating and what I should not eat. Also its hard to be on a specific diet when everyone else in my house eats whatever, does anyone else have this problem?

Also I used to be cheerleader from age 11 utill I was 17, so that is part of my past workouts. I have a treadclimber made by bowflex which I did for a few months but got burned out on that, I have an ab-lounge which I also dont use and I have pilates dvds. Just to give you a little more info about me and my situation. I guess my biggest problem is my lack of motivation!!
