I'm going to Florida!!!

I'm taking my family to Disney World and staying at the Polynesian resort. I love that place. The main reason we're going is because hubby is having major surgery the beginning of May. He wants to have a nice vacation before he's out of commision for a few months. He's such a big kid!

My daughter loves it too. She just came down stairs with her Tinkerbell dress on. She should be asleep, it's 12:30 AM here. If she wasn't so damn cute..................... :rolleyes:
 
I havent been to Disney World since I was 8. my family and I drove down from Ohio all the way down to Florida. it was great. i think its the last time I remember being extremely happy with all my family together at once.

hope u have a good time.

You better make sure you go to Universal Studios! Anyway have a great time & bring back photos!

You should get a bunch of friends together and go. It's changed a lot since then. It's always more fun with friends! It's the only place I go where I don't think about my problems while I'm there.

lol that sounded like a commercial tag line for them.

well icant go. one, i probably enjoy vegas more than disney world at this pointi n my life (i'm 26). and i live in Los Angeles. so i'd have to go to anaheim to Disneyland if i wanted to go, but i dont.

i'd rather keep my memory sacred.

Oh, Okay. Disneyland sucks, though, compared to Florida.
 
I love Florida....................its soooo unlike-NYC, damn i got to get the heck out of this town for a few days..................Florida sounds nice, South Beach here i come....:)
 
I went to Disneyworld w/ family in 1973. Then I moved to FL in 1991 and a friend came to visit so we went back to DW 20 yrs later. Not much changed. I'm not a big theme park fan. I'm good at least until 2013 at this point.

yeah disneyworld was great when i was little but somehow it became kinda boring to me last year when i went. Not really thrilled to go back until they revamp the place with lots of new attractions.
 
I went to Sea world when I was down there. The crowds freaked the wife so much, that we decided not to go to Disney. We only had a day, too, & that wouldn't have been enough.
 
This is a fairly slow/good time to do the parks. Crowds shouldn't be too bad.
Right before school gets out end of next month. Busy, just not crazy busy.
Polynesian resort is a cool place. Second only to Animal Kingdom Lodge.
Take a ride over there for free and walk around the grounds. There are areas where
the African Savanah section of the park area backs right up to the Pool area and Giraff, etc can be seen.

Hit up Animal Kingdom while there. A Great place and it is totally NAHTAAZOO

Heh yea my parents have stayed out at the animal kingdom lodge a few times. They have seen all kinds of animals out of their room window. Made it seem like they were really in Africa.

There are soooo many other things that you have to do down here. As was mentioned, Universal/Islands of Adventure and Sea World are the other theme parks. Then if you're hot, you have Blizzard Beach and Typhoon Lagoon that are water parks inside Disney but you also have Wet N Wild that's right down the road from Universal. Then if you wanted to drive an hour or so, you can go to Busch Gardens in Tampa or the Kennedy Space Center. Honestly, there are too many things to list.

LOL.. We had a room overlooking one of the feeding areas of the Savannah up on the second floor. My kid was on on the balcony every second we were in the room. She wanted to leave the balcony door open all night, and since it was cool out, we did.

Nothing like being awaken at like 3 am by something large making a God awful noise like it was being killed..

We went after our spring break. Turns out the spring break in Fla was the week we were there.

Pretty much anyone that was born in central florida knows someone who can get them in for free. The last time we went to animal kingdom was the first time in my life I have ever paid. I would guess that I've been to Disney 20-30 times as my Aunt has worked for them for over 25 years

I was just in Appalachicola this last weekend. The reason I was surprised that Kak didn't go to P'cola Beach on Memorial Weekend is because that's Gay Pride weekend out there. Check the link, Winn-Dixie sells out of Crisco the week before.

*LOL* for :rainbow: .......Orbly you should go to the WTB it's off the hook..everyone just throws anchors....drinks beer...walks the beach and boat to boat..kinda has that spring break feel......

That would be cool, maybe I'll pull the camper over to St. George's for that Weekend (If I don't have to work).

It's a good time.....We stay at my buddies beach house at shell point beach and boat over......you have to boat to Dog Island there is no bridge.

I use my super powers and make myself invisible...then I just walk inside and make myself visible again... it's either that or the fact that my roommate works there and can bring 3 people in for free
