Welcome back pops! How were the mountainous ranges?

Oh and I was good... and deserve 1.3762 trillion karma hits ;)

Mr. X was working on 8 cylinders, with 30 psi of boost, and 200 hp shot of nitrious working like he had a room of cpu's and monitors at his desposal! :coffee: He's everywhere at all times. Glad you're back and rested up!
 
First of all at the hightest point Clingmans dome it snowed heavly the night before, after that its all down hill and there was ice on the road, i saw a van that was parked what looked to be a lookout point but there were about 7 people standing around watching me, the van skidded and hit a snow bank & was stuck i had no choice but to apply the breaks i skidded at a 45 degree angle all the way to the bottom talking about a scary ride in a vette ,i had to finish my drive at 3-10mph. that took forever.
Before arriveing there this was my first time in the vette on the mountain roads so i hadn't reached snow yet i want to test its limits i was taking 25-35 mpg curves at 75-88mph, i was having a blast the i hit the flatlands, a Tennesse state patrol pulled me over,

Trooper- Mr RADAR do you know why i stopped you?
Me- uhhhh was i going too fast?
Trooper- thats it
me- Rats i was doing good up until now :(
Trooper-Do you know what the speed limit is around here is?
Me -no sir i'm from GA and this is my first time up here in this car
Trooper-actually i clocked you going 70 in a 55 mph zone
Me- sir i was basically concentrating on the sharp curves and nothing else ,and i was really trying to be safe
Trooper-(laughing) i have been following you for a GOOD while-i even clocked you WAYYYYYY above 85 on some of those curves
Trooper-I going to have to write you a citation for doing 70 in a 55mph zone
Trooper-sign here please ,heres the court date ,& blah,blah do you have any questions?
Me-only one
Trooper-whats that?
Me-i wished you hadn't stopped me
Trooper-(laughing) thats what they all say,he was admiring the car while saying that


I assumed he had plenty of opportunities to stop me but decided to let me have my fun until i hit the valley & gotten back down to the speed limit.


My summary- Trooper-a bit younger than me & very polite
Me- it was a total blast
Getting a 147.00 speeding ticket , fun i had =priceless!

All in all it was a great vacation & its good to be back.

Yes i did, i was smoking really bad out the left tailpipe the owner said it only does that right before it warms up, and the seats were getting cracks in the leather, It was a big disappointment, i told him i would think about it.
He should have told me that in thhe E mail, i will say this i you ever get the experience it listen to a monster V 12 Roar down the highway its a sound like no other.
I did get to see another one i'll post pics of it soon.

Actually i took today off as it rained heavly then very thick fog set in i was exhausted when i got home, so i'm sitting here right now drinking somew good ole corn squeezin (Moonshine) Never had any before but it will kick your ass thats for sure!

May be ironic but that radar detector is one of the best you can get. It is pretty funny though.

Agreed, I bought a BMW 850 last summer, they never really took off in the USA but were ahead of their time for sure. V12 4 wheel steering........ahh I gotta love it.

I'm sure your moonshine is in a mason jar... throw a peach or some strawberries in there for about month or two... eating them after it sitting in there for a few will knock you on your ass ;)
