haven't been to the training forum in quite some time guys.. Missed ya all.. sorry I took such a long leave.
Ok.. anyways.. here's whats up.. since my Last journal entry.. I actually have done little to no lifting.. a few curls every once and a while.. thats about it.. I have been doing cardio, but far less of the running. I have taken up aggressive in-line skating.. While its not as steady as jogging, its more fun, and has its bursts of intense, then resting while coasting..
so here's what I did tonight .. after much thinking and deciding to coming back to the good world of training.
I started the night's session with skating.. Started at 12:30, just skating the streets in my neighborhood (very inclined). 1:30, I moved to the elementary school that is attached to my neighborhood, proceeding with jumping.. 180 spins, and attempting to get stall's down so that I can move to grinding in the near future (OK, most of you don't care about this). The skating ended with the skate home.. walking in the door at 2:20.
I then proceeded to weight lifting.. Starting out with Full Squats (ass to heals), warm-up of 85lbs, about 20 reps. Then I moved to 125, with 12 reps., I then moved to 135, and 2 sets of 10 reps.
I then did Shrugs.. starting with a warm-up of 60 lbs, about 20 reps. Then did 135 for 3 sets of 7.
Time for deads! I started deads at 135, about 16 reps. Moved it up to 215 for 3 sets of 7-8 reps, each to failure (legs giving out, my back took it fine).
Put my weights back into the garage, and followed this up with a 10 minute jog around the neighborhood, nearly puking about 30 seconds from my house. (didn't puke, just a little came up into my throat, I could taste it
)
may be a strange start.. But I plan to do this more often.. starting with the fun stuff, and working my way down, becoming more intense as the session progresses.
