If Carbs and Fats don't go together...

Dont mix carbs and fat at all -- who wants fat riding that insulin right into your muscles?

Not too mention mixing carbs and fats is terrible for cholesterol.

Eaaassyyy...you're wrong. Fats actually help slow down any ellicit insulin spike made by carbs....tis why we dont advocate fats postworkout.........fats with carbs are fine and should be a staple......fats also lower the total gi of the entire meal....I wouldnt chose to eat fats with higher gi carbs for sanity purposes, but low gi and fats are a staple.....oats and eggs..........peanut butter and ezekiel bread.........sweet potatoes/rice with steak/ground beef........my gains were never better since I started doing this......

The whole premise of not mixing carbs and fat together may deal with setting off an insulin spike with free fatty acids in the blood...however, an insulin response is illicited faster than how long it takes for the fat to absorb in the small intestines isn't it?

I dunno, as a precaution I don't mix...but EFA + regular insulin spiking foods don't seem too bad...flax oil doesn't really have anything bad in it that you'd be afraid of storing
