Ibuprofen or Vicodine?

Ibuprofen bro. You dont wanna mess with Vicodine. I usually take 1x 600mg tab and thats it. Pain goes away.

i recently developed a groin hernia and i wasw prescribed vicoden until surgery even if a take 4 or 5 at once they do nothing for me. never really taken any pain medicine before. i know people get addicted to them i just cant see why, they make you feel wierd for about 20 minutes and then nothing atleast for me.

Go with a Dr bro, stay with the Ibuprofen till you get some proffesional adivise, and besides Ibuprofen helps with the inflamattion of the tissue...

ibuprofen is a safe effective option. it is safe to use even in geriatric patients in whom losing muscle is a very big deal. whatever you ahve read about muscle growth hinderence is likely very exaggerrated. if it were a clinically significant problem, i would know about it, and it has never, ever come up in the context of muscle sparing. take it at will.

dont worry guys, no addictive personality here. I have access to preety much anything. But i love my body, i do party, but no addictions here. Just wont let it happen. i have several friends addicted to several things so i dont wanan be in thier shoes.

Vicodin is 5mg hydrocodone/500 mg acetominaphen(tylenol). Ibuprofen is a better anti-inflammatory. Dosage is based upon your weight. Take dose every 6 hours as needed. Vicodin is not an anti-inflammatory, so it would not remedy your problem. It just masks your pain with the narcotic.

Vicotin over ibuprofen for pain anyday. One caveat though is the addicting side effects of Vicodin. You said that you aren't an addict and that's not an issue. You also said you had only one Vic though right? Go with the ibuprofen then. One vic isn't enough for long term pain. However, if you ae looking for a muscle relaxer go with flexoral.
