I want to gain about 10-15 lbs, what do i eat?

You must eat every two to three hours and in between that time eat some fruit, mixed nuts or peanut butter. Stay away from the shakes as muchas possible. You'll see gains quickly. Those tuna packets are the best for me. Just open one up throw some mayo in packet and your ready to go. One 3 oz packet contains 23grams of low fat protein. Easy, clean and cheap.

i would say eat at least your bodyweight X 20 for total calories. then split the calories up into 50/30/20 percents of carbs, protein, fats. also i would highly reccoment getting aobut 50 grams whey protein, and 75 grams dextrose immediately postworkout, drink at least a gallon of water a day, focus on lean red meats, chicken, sweet potatoes, brown rice, oatmeal, tuna fish, fish. also u might wanna try supplementing wiht creatine going 6 weeks on, 3 weeks off with 5 - 10 grams postworkout.

Don't worry about upping your calories too much. If you're maintaining your weight now, just add 500 cals / day. That may pick up your metabolism, so after 2 weeks readjust if necessary.

Shoot for 3/4-1lb of muscle a week, but remember you can't grow at that rate forever.

Egg whites are your best protein source. Don't worry about eating red meat, it's not very healthy for your body. Small fish and game are your best bet for meats.

The protein hype is way overrated. I gained 30lbs over the past 7 mos and I don't worry about my protein intake very much. I just have a shake after my workout and try to get a little protein at every meal. Eating excessive amounts of protein is not healthy.

Hope that helps. Good luck

What? Red meat is very important..... take it from me. Last year I tried to drop red meat from my diet and paid the price. Although I admit that there are some health issues surrounding red meat I feel that the benefits for outweighs the these.

Besides there are many nutrients that are only found in red meat.

Did you know that the human brain would not have evolved to twice it's size had homo-erectus not started eating meat?

What price was that? It sounds like your beliefs about how important red meat is would cause you to have some problems dropping it from your diet. I don't eat it anymore, nor do many others, and I'm not having any trouble packing on muscle naturally.

Besides there are many nutrients that are only found in red meat.

What are those? Please provide me with a list. Thanks.

Again. Where did you get this from. Please provide me with the research on this. BUT, notice that I didn't suggest dropping meat from his diet. I just said that red meat is neither healthy nor necessary.

I wish I had the time to answer all these right now but I have got an important pool appointment. I will see if I can find the essay I wrote in the next few days.

If you want do a search and you will find I brought up this subject abou 5 months ago on the Anabolic board.

The thread was titled 'Vegetarian bodybuilders'.

Julez - I read the threads. Mostly a bunch of idiotic posts. I didn't see any facts to bact up what you're saying. The health risks of a diet high in red meat are well known.

You seem to be ignoring the fact that we are not talking about vegetarianism - just red meat.

Anyways, I know you're busy, but hopefully you can point me towards some published material supporting what you say.

Do a combo of tuna, chicken, and some red meat. It depends on your supplements but I wouldn't want to remove all red meats but I wouldn't want a diet high in red meats either. Too much of anything isn't good. When providing food for your muscles variety is the key each food source is made up of different nutrients why not use them all. Don't limit yourself or else you will get sick of your diet to quick. Good luck
