I have learned a great deal at Elite and had a lot of good laughs.

That being said...I think it is time for me to move on to a board that is populated by people that I have more in common with. I do not have dysmorphia and could care less what someones bench press is. I'm all about leading a balanced life that concentrates on both personality and physique. I'm totally normal which is, I believe, an abberation here.

Does someone know of a board that is more oriented to a more balanced lifestyle??? I would appreciate it. :)

you'll find a lot of the people here have the same point of view. the board might have started out with an anabolic board but its grown to inclde lots of different types of fitness

DAMNIT! Why is everyone bailing out? I don't want either of you to go. The board is what you make of it. It can only get better if the best people are retained.

Thanks danielson...i appreciate that. There are really maybe 15 people here that keep me interested. I'd post names but I'm sure I would forget someone important.:(

I am doing well, actually I just got back form the doctor and I have bronchitis. No wonder I have been walking around feeling like cr*p lately.

This board is crazy sometimes. Try posting here as a female. You only get rewarded for having your ass or other body part in an avatar. Is that balanced??

I don't think they will get banned. They used to ban people quite easily. BOS is the PRIME example that turning the board into a cess pool is now acceptable.

I am ALL for the banning of people who are perpetually rude and abusive. Those people are a part of life but I should not have to put up with it in my free time. I like to get paid when I'm being abused.

From what I see...attacking gays is about the only way to get banned. I hate to see the attacks but there are other equally offensive modes of behavior.

I totally agree. Life is too short to have to put with with some of the nonsense that I've read on my free time.

I am all for banning assholes and shitheads.

yeah ive seen some pig-ignorant things on here before. i just mentally ignore them, or read thm and inwardly augh at the people that gain some sort of empowerment by thatviewpoint. but then again very few people post that sort of thing

suirely the fact that there are enough people here to converse with and it being a fitness site means you can stay here perhaps for less time and sign up to another board which suits your tastes?

Yes...the women have a particularly difficult time here. I would defend them but after seeing my own ruthless, unwarranted bloodshed at the Womens Board, I decided they don't necessarily deserve defense.
 
Guys, for what it's worth, it's not likely that you're going to do much better on another board. It will be the same shit, different place.

Yea right..........I have concluded that people who pay inordinate attention to building size to pay very little attention to a balanced life.

I'm sure I'll be at Elite periodically, there are many inspiring people here. I just need a board where I have more in common with the members. Guess noyone has a good recommendation?
 
The thing about banning someone who offends someone, well different things offend different people. I may be offended by someone you like having here...

There are people who post just to reinforce what a**holes they are.

Probably true...I spent a lot of time on anaother board that was far less balanced than this one. They would habitually get mad at people who made an off topic post. Off topic means it wasn't roid related. Being that fascinated with roids is disturbing. It was a good place to learn however. If I had it to do over again...I would not do roids. The crashes are frightening. My nuts are still much smaller and it has been about 7 weeks post cycle.:(

But I bought a damn stockpile when I was making great money. Now I make diddly.:mad:
 
I've been on the internet since the mid '80s, when I logged onto the old Well BBS long-distance. People come and go, flame wars rage, things get hot, things get boring. Nobody will ever convince me that the medium itself doesn't somehow make occasional retards and rageaholics out of all of us.

I regularly take "vacations" from chat boards when I lose interest or I just move on. Anyone who's been on the other anabolic boards knows this is by far the (imperfect) best.

Honestly, I just don't get the big deal about BOS. He falls into the category of hyperbole to me and I can't ever take him seriously, even when he's attacking me. I must have some blind spot because, even as a member of one of the communities he most often attacks, I find him hilarious at his foul-mouthed best and only really annoying when he's redundant and predictable.

Hey bro...to be honest with you...you get what you pay for. This site is free and most of the people on here are engaged in some form of illegal transactions...I don't know if that is going to fit into your balancing act...if you want balance meet real people. I am just words on a screen and i can tell you anything i want...half of you guys will believe anything you hear...why? Cause the internet said so...

Sorry to keep banging this same drum, but the Interet really is like _Lord of the Flies_. Like "the Island." No consequences for actions, society's laws of conduct stripped away. The Island could be as wonderful or hateful as its "citizens."

This is all the more like the Island in the book. Lots of testosterone (again: there it was the effects of puberty; here it is bought in a vial or proximal effects of guys who buy it in a vial)... and no consequence for actions.

Primitive sides emerge. (Kinda funny, actually. Most of these threads are: 1.) fighting and asserting dominion, 2. trying to "mate", or 3. talk of shitting/farting. Seriously, I love a good political debate myself but eventually you realize: "they're just flinging turds at one another.")

Simon--the good one--"left" on account he was slain by them. And Piggy--the thoughtful one--was just ignored and mocked.
This is no place for the likes of them.

Brains, BOS never bothered me either. For the reason you said: hyperbole. He was so over-the-top SILLY in his hate--and upfront about it--I had no problem. Some of these others--yikes.

Interesting insights...I keep thinking the board would be good for a couple hours a day. But I just can't seem to draw myself away from it. It is so interesting at times. Something to do for about free when there is little else going on.

Maybe I should join the Peace Corps???
 
Test Boy...I have to say something that you won't like but it's what I feel so sorry if you get pissed.

I can't stand complainers who sit here and criticize a free board that's true purpose is to help gain knowledge. What makes you think that your balanced life will have a better place somewhere else? I think you got in some weird mood, today, and your seeking pity. This is just unnecessary negativity that I just can't comprehend.

test I like you, but...just because you had a bad experience with juice doesn't mean that bodybuilding and this board sucks. Fuck, my first cycle I did deca and was limp on and off for like 6 weeks after my cycle. I was pissed and full of regret but you know what? 9 months later there was a needle sticking out of my ass and there was no deca in it, and no porblems. You have to pace yourself on juice, and if you need to unload any, pm me, I am only an hour away.

By the way, about 10% of the people are hardcore, the rest are just here to bullshit so have fun.

I have to agree with this. Unless your willing to join an intellectual disscussion board, I cant imagine finding another board that doesnt have the same meaningless/offensive posts.

Its part of the net. People can hind behind a false identity so they can be as nasty or as nice as they want to be. Since more kids have access to the net and are developing an interest in bodybuilding, its inevitable theres going to be alot of immature posters.

ah fuck it. I starting to find this place kinda boring anyway. Mabey come by twice a week, instead of twice a day :)

in a way, there is no 'here'. this is just a collection of 1000 or so individuals with one flimsy string connecting them (steroids & exercise) together.

it really isn't possible for the board to reject you.

You MUST have known a board that is centered on bodybuilding would very likely not fit your perception.

If you're leaving then don't pull a strongchick and come back after a day or two. And if you truly are leaving, then peace be with you and may you someday find a digital community that you mesh well with.
