whats the best way to apply chalk now that the blocks are all powder. i dont want to make a mess as i will be the person cleaning it up.

Do what I do, bro. Abandon those soft blocks for stick chalk.

I get teh big fat sticks kids use to draw on sidewalks. You rub the stick on your hand and it helps just like block chalk... but it is harder so you don't have it getting all over the place. You can carry the stick in your pocket.

SG is the master of innovation... he has over 1000 uses for everyday chalk... one of the most overlooked is that he has developed a new feul insturmentality for his car, using standard school chalk. ;)

Better is the "Chalk doodle time travel" technique. Essentially it is a long series of random doodlings that open "worm hole." A worm hole is a complex rift overlapping layer upon layer of the universe. You don't really "time travel" so to speak... you simply enter one portal in the universe and come out another... often years or centuries apart.

A couple parents got pissed at me 'cuz the doodles looked like hop scotch. Long story.

It isn't the same chalk at all...

Get a tupperware container and put your chalk in it...dip your hand in the powder and get a small bit in the palm of your hands..then rub them together.

I went to a climbing/outdoor store and got a refillable chalk pouch. The thing works wonderfully, it puts plenty of chalk on your hands but doesnt make a mess at all. And you can refill it whenever you need to. I just stick mine in a Zip Loc freezer bag (the bigger bags) roll the pouch in my hands inside the bag and Im all good to go with no mess.

I am all about the tuperware container. I mostly use the powder in it. I save the big chunks for chalking my back for squatting or chalking my knees prewrap.
