I have had 3 major neck surgeries in the past 8 months, and it has been really hard for me to get back in shape. It is impossible for me to to be patient since my body is used to working out. It is hard for me to get my strength back, so I started on 20mg of Anavar. After reading all your advices I realized this might be to much and cut it down to 10mg. I now want to stack it with GH. Can any body give me some advice on this. You can say I'm crazy I won't be offended:) . But I am really desperate, my husband has been doing cycles for the past 20 years and looks great and he is afraid of me taking stuff, because he doesn't know what it might do to me. Since he only knows how to adjust his dosages. Please advice I need HELP :bawling:

I don[t know anything about GH but anavar at 10mg ed is some amazing stuff. The rate at which injuries heal is really fast. Is your husband worried about the GH, the anavar or the combo. If it is that anavar I can honestly say that I have had nothing that I would consider a negative side from it. Personally I think it should be added to the nations water supply (j/k).

Thank you Temple01 for your advice, I think he is afraid of the Anavar, because he says it might have masculine effects on me. I tried primo once before and my voice started changing a little. I wasn't recovering from any injuries or surgeries then. I like to be in better shape than the average person "you guys know what I mean":D. Does any body out there know anything about Growth Hormone???????Thanks again.

Personally, I think if you've had three surgeries in the past 8 months, esp. in a vulnerable area like yuour neck, working out safely and slowly should be a priority. Why can't you be patient--I don't get it. Having dodged the bullet of spinal column surgery thru exercise myself, I would counsel anyone to be very, very careful. I have no problem with the use of AS, but I'd really take it slow if I were you.

Thank you Keiko for your advise, beleive it or not I am taking it slow. I got the OK from my physical therapist to go ahead with my work outs. The reason I say I can't be patient is for 2 reasons: because my lower body is getting strong really fast (thanks to muscle memory:) ) and my husband keeps getting in better and better shape and I feel like I'm staying way behind. My upper body is so weak because of the surgeries, I only bench press the bar for chest I cannot even add weight to it yet, shoulders are none existant :bawling: arms look like twigs:bawling: . I promise I'm taking it slow.

EA,

I would advise you to save the anavar and monies until you can workout normally. I'm sure that you are aware that the steriods and GH do nothing by themselves. One MUST eat well, rest, and work out HARD to get the most out of the drugs. This goes for GH too.

There are some limited benefits to the drugs alone, but they are minor.

Just my opinion.

BE - I understand what you are saying however the legitimate purpose of anavar is to help people with severe injuries heal faster. I don't have any experience with GH but have been told that gear is best used one at a time in the beginning. I know from personal experience that injuries that should take weeks to recover from heal in a matter of days while on anavar. If it were me I would just stick with the 10mg anavar and forget the GH for now. Be very careful not to overdo it, just take the training slow.

erika,

I am not a physician, but I would seriously think about staying away from Growth Hormone if I had 3 neck surgeries. GH not only effects muscule growth, but growth of all tissues, and if your neck problems were pressure related or disc related, why take a chance of GH inncreasing any tissue or bone that may effect that area again.

Just a thought.

I think you need to give yourself some time. The body has an incredible ability to recover on its owh over time. Also if you are saying that you used to workout all the time and be in shape, you will be surprised how your muscles have memory.

I know injuries stink, and they are very frustrating. But last time I was hurt (out for 2 months) I just had to swallow my desire to lift, and I just ate right until the injury healed up...within a Month I bounced back to normal.

Good luck

Temple,
I agree with the stated purpose of Anavar. And my comments are not meant as flames to Erika, but was an expression of MY point of view and reasoning.

This was my logic for my reply:
First, if I feel Anavar is called for, I would discuss it with the Drs/PT's on MY team. If it's a split decision then perhaps a second/third/fourth opinion is warranted. It seems to me that I trusted my life and my ability to be mobile with a med team during spinal surgery, so I should be able to trust them enough discuss this with them. Are my medical experts meeting my needs or do I need to seek other other medical experts? Have I fully disclosed my expectations, goals, desires, and plans so that they may make appropriate suggestions?

Second, I would question my reasoning if my decision was made not on qualified medical advise, due to self-percieved slow healing after three surgeries, and the my admitted impatient desire to be strong again QUICKLY after surgeries. Plus, if my desire is to get strong quick but I can't workout hard, will I be able to reasonably attain my goal of strength?

Third, I would again question my decision if my lack of patience caused me to take 20mg off the bat without proper research, and admittedly later realize my irrationality of that action and have to adjust the doseagage down. So, am I doing the right thing or am I putting myself at risk for further damage?

Fourth, is it wise for me to seek affirmation of my medical decision from others with limited knowledge of my medical background, and that may not have medical training and knowledge? Are my medical experts meeting my needs? Do I need other other experts, or should I go in public opinion and anectdote for my medical advise?

And finally, I know that GH can, without a doubt, cause additional bone growth as well as growth of other tissues like internal organs. This is why carpal tunnel is a common side of excessive GH use along with acromegaly. History tells me that GH without high intensity workouts is of little use in BB. If I can't workout, can I expect to get much from this expensive hormone? Can I reasonably expect to gain benefits without unwanted side effects?

That was where I was coming from in my comments, what do you think?

Thanks everyone!!! all your advises are very helpful to me. I think my Md.'s eyes would pop out if I tell him I'm taking Anavar. Most doctors don't agree with AS or don't know much about it. I'll tell you guys one thing since I started the Anavar cycle I feel so much better mentally, physically and emotionally. I'll stay this way for now and see what happens... I guess it's true what they say "patience is a virtude" (which I seem not to possess Ha! Ha!)
BigEasy I thank you for a very intelligent reply.

Erica,
You are not the only one that is not satisfied with status quo and waiting, I'm the same way. Luckily my wife is just the opposite and willing to accept the things that cannot be changed, as well as having the patience of Job.

Big Easy what do I think???? Weeelllllll, I think I probably deserved that butt chewin'. Actually I did think about what you said before I posted. Three surgeries is alot and it is possible the taking gear could cause some problems that I am not aware of however I must assume that when someone is on here asking for gear advice that they have done some research on the subject themselves and are aware of what the risks are before they start poppin' the pills. I also know that most doctors have a shit hemmorage fit any time the subject of gear comes up even if the patient would benefit from it so consulting our physician is not an option for most of us. Considering the things that anavar is prescribed for it is probably not going to hurt and will probably help and 20mg ed although high is not an unheard of dose for a woman. GH I know nothing about other than it isn't something to mess with unless you know what you are doing.

Butt chewin'?? Moi?!?! Yikes, did that really come out that way?

Sorry, I certainly didn't mean for it to sound like that. The only butt chewins' I ever give out are the kind that feel good! ;)

I'll do better next time, I promise!

BE LOL!
I think maybe I was a little crabby last night - I reread what you said and it didn't sound like a butt chewin' this morning. Guess one should not respond to posts after spending the day having the biggest damn yard sale you ever saw with your mother, two sisters, 7 kids (one of which is yours), 6 dogs and Aunt Millie. I had my butt chewed and chewed butt so many times yesterday that I was just on a roll - Sorry!:D

Those two words are enough to conjure up mortal fear in EVERY attached mans heart!!! I give stuff to charity regularly just so milady won't utter those dread words in the future tense along with my name. :p I'm just lucky you were worn down from dealing with all the haggelers, else I might have really been scorched! ;)

Now you must get up early next Sat. so that you can start ringing someones doorbell 1 hour before dawn inorder to get a 'good bargin.' After all, we all know that "No Early Sales" isn't meant for lil' ole' us.... Right? After all, you've just got to spread the Yard Sale 'Joy' around! Bwaahahahahahahah..

P.S. In reality, my wife won't even go to a Y/S, much less HAVE one. Praise God!!

:) Hey guys of course I did an intensive research of the safest gear to take specially with my surgeries. My husband has helped too, he is very knowledgable about this subject, but only on men. That is why I chose Anavar because I read in many places how it helps heal and it is safer for women. It is also used in HIV patients. I just wasn't sure about the dosage and needed your opinions which I much appreciate.
I was diagnosed 2 years ago and tried every thing not to go ahead with surgery. Nothing worked, not cervical epidurals, not nerve blocks, so when I was finally ready for surgery they found a tumor behind my neck. This meant 2 surgeries, I had neck fusion in Aug, 2000 and the tumor removed in Feb. 2001. Unfortunately I developed an infection and had to be hospitalized again. That was the 3rd surg.

I am very aware of "Accepting the things I cannot change: people, places, things. Changing the things I can: myself, I can continue to feel sorry for myself and this temporary disability or try to get better one day at a time. And very important have the wisdom to know the difference. May be that's where I mess up sometimes, but... Progress rather than perfection. Right ;)
During this period of healing I've been keeping a clean diet and also my protein intake, I use Parillo Hi protein, Myoplex, and Optimum Whey, also I keep taking my vitamins and supplements: essential vitamins, muscle amino, electrolytes. Before my moderate cardio I take a tablespoon of Carnatine with 2 piruvate, want to keep that BF low for when I'm ready to go for it. I hope I'm doing the right thing.
Reading your replies has helped me slow down a bit. Specially what is between my ears and I don't mean my eyes:D

erikaalex,
Sounds like the house is in order and you have researched well. I think you will be just fine given the effort and determination you have. Sounds like you have been blessed with a good husband to work with you through this too. I know that has to help.

As far as the fusion(s?), I'm not sure what Doc has told you, but it/they probably won't slow you much after you heal. My oldest daughter has fusions at #'s 2,3,&5 and she can do almost anything other than look straight up in the air without leaning backwards. It does slow down her swimming, but she doesn't compete in swimming anyway. It certainly doesn't keep her from being active in the gym and sports she enjoys.
