Ok, that's what the mods tell me is the latest rumor about me going around on the boards on other sites as to how much I make a year. For the record, I do not make that much a year by a long shot, but I do well, am successful, and enjoy a very nice life.

Would any of you be interested in reading a book about how I did it and how you can do it too -- skipping over the hundreds of mistakes I made along the way. I see so many sites popping up all around and they are all doing everything wrong. A part of me really wants to help them because their sites all get too costly to run and then they fold up.

Any interest in a book about that?

Yeah, except, you may not want to skip over some of the mistakes. It could be good to point out common mistakes and missteps that people often make.

You should call it "Nathan's World". I think people will be more willing to put their support behind something called "Nathan's World." I know I would and if you think about it I think you'll agree.
 
I only make 110k per year.

here in canada i make 38 a year and my bills come out to close to 40
what is wrong with that picture
when i lived in the states i made almost 70 and bills were 40

Honestly, I have thought about it. But I have this internal struggle, where content should be free and the things you pay for should be concrete.

But I am still thinking about it, if nothing else to keep the site going.

You know what made me join? When Mr. X was helping EVERYBODY on the diet board and ME answering the most simple stupid questions, We were getting the best advice you could find on the net. He would answer

(I was`nt finished yet) Every question with great detail and on his signature he would have "Become platinum now" After seeing that over and over again While getting my questions answered, I did it for Mr. X.

Mr. X is the man, and I am told there's some nice stuff in the galleries for Plats to look at too although I've never been there myself. ;)

Mr.X, has been one of the best Mods to grace these boards.
 
I think the first give away that you do not make 1 million dollars a year is that you are here posting on the interent not that it isnt fun but if i was making 1/2 that I would be sitting in a sandy beach with a fruit drink and mad hot chicks - not mad at me but mad like in really hot.

I make around 28 thousand a year doing blackjack dealing not countinig some tips i make on the side I also do some day work for a construction company during the summer and I can make maybe like 3-4K a month doing that for 3-4 months so that really helps out the goose egg - not a real egg but that is what I call my savings fund that helps pay rent when I don't have enough money

I doubt many people feel convinced that a platinum membership will change their life - well, it will not - but it will help Elitefitness stay around for the long-term so 5-10years later one of you can become a mod or help run the site and be proud of where we have arrived.

Everyone knows that I run my own site and I have ran many sites in the past, and the most important thing I have learned is that it’s not as easy or profitable as people think to run a board. So don’t be fooled by this rumor that George makes $1,000,000, if he did he wouldn’t need people to sign up for a Platinum membership, he could just retire – think about it. Just imagine the bandwidth, operating and LEGAL costs of running a company this size.

Since we heard some eBook pimping here, I might as well do mine :): I have a comprehensive Diet book coming out in December (end). I hope everyone enjoys it. I plan to donate a majority of the profits to the American Heart Association and the Women’s Breast Cancer Support Society (local chapters). Just to let everyone know, the Book will come under my name: Dr. Michael M. Adams aka Mr.X

Unfortunately, to my dismay, I do not have the resources to have a printed book; however, I am willing, although it sounds unrealistic, to print out the eBook for some people that have a hard time reading it on their screen. I just have to get a better laser printer :)

At first it will be eBook format; if I sell enough copies to allow for print format, all the people that bought it in eBook format will get a huge price discount. For now, I will just say eBook will be the way it will come out.

Mr X i recall seeing some bookstores out there that have a massive book printer/binder for obscure books that they print out and bind there and then- perhaps this is an avenue you could pursue?

from what i have seen on the boards you are more than capable of creating a book which is highly marketable, so dont sell yourself or others short by giving your book away for free or too cheaply. as im sure you know people are more prone to take advice they pay for

you're probably aware this already, but companies like Xerox provide on-demand publishing services. it might be the right thing for someone interested in cost-effective and small(er) print runs, if you should ever decide to produce a hardcopy version.

I would LOVE hardcopy. I don`t get into reading my computer screen other than a couple of lines at a time.

I talked to Xipi Publishing and a few other companies, the amounter per book they wanted was a little high. Thank you for the link, I'll contact Xerox and find out the price. :)

I looked at binder printing, and the cost was too high for small volume, but a Xerox link I saw on this page sounds promising, so I am going to try to work out a deal through them.

By no means will my book be free :), it's going to run around $49.95, of which I plan to donate about $30-40+ to charity. I am not a materialistic person, and, as everyone already knows, I am writing the book for the members and not for my Bank account. To me the happiness and joy of people seeing results and changing their life is worth more than all the money in the world. I recall helping an obese lady lose about 200lbs. and basically saving her life; that’s more fulfilling than any amount of money I can think of – at least to me.

I think if the book was "coming form the right place" it would be nice, and worth the read

however if the "soul" (play on words) concpet was just about the goal of making $$ then it would be a shame........

I think people would be interested in the human process as well


I know when I starting talking to Ulter that his story inspired alot of respect and trust from me, this info is valuable to a young man or kid like me..........
