I kicked the Professor's ass...!

Um... okay... maybe this doesn't quite belong on the training board... but I sort of believe that body-mind-and-spirit are all things we develop... and the training board is about developing... getting better... and this in a way is a PR...

I just stomped the Professor into the ground... three times in a row...

...at chess.

The Professor is sort of a legend at the chess park. He is the strongest player at the park... very hard to beat and he is a brilliant brilliant man. He speaks half a dozen languages... is widely published... and used to teach philosophy at Brown University.

He opened with the Grob. The sun was beating down. The bikini girls on roller blades were whizzing by. (The chess park is on the beach.) I was not distracted. I crushed him in 22 moves.

Being kind... after his defeat... I let him play white again. He opened with King's Gambit. I accepted. He resigned after 32 moves.

Then... it was my turn to open. I played King's Indian. He died in agony.

The thing that made this the very best was my girlfriend, daughter, and her friend all had come for a day at the beach. They were all there when the Professor was checkmated on the last game.

I dance the dance of victory.

Masterful. Won't let me give you karma, so I'll dance too.

I admit I know nothing about chess, but this sounds pretty cool?

bro let me get this straight.

He opened with king gambit and lost? That shit will crush any inexperienced opponent, and in hands of a proffesional player its unstoppable, you can sacrifice 4 pieces and still hav ea position advantage.

Then you open with king indian which is a basically stable position thats has very minor advantages on both sides, and you still win?

He must have been really drunk.

I'd play you online sofa. I used to know pretty much every opening and variation from the top of my head ...

I have no life. :(

Is this your polite way of calling BS?

There is no opening that is unstoppable ...

king gambit is incredibly unstable, in the hands of a creative player its an ultimate weapon.
