I'm not a fan of his in the least, I love the more hiphop sound ie. jurassic 5, common, nas and old school shit like De La Soul, Tribe Called Quest etc.....

50 Cent is for the Club. Common is for more chillin and relaxing. 50's beats are hot they make the girls shake the laffy taffy. Girls can't shake to a Common track.

If you're listening for rap to get educated or to get a "message" then you are lost. It's entertainment, not philosophy. It's called making money, who makes more 50 or Jurassic 5? He's not as dumb as you think. Same thing with Eminem, he goes for shock value and it works. When dumbasses on CNN are bashing him he is getting exactly what he wants!

The thing I don't understand is how shock value can still sell music. It just seems that all of the gangster rap shit has been done before. The controversy has fizzled but this guy still manages to sell it. If he had actual music talent I could understand, but his voice sounds messed up to me.
I do confess to liking some of Eminems music though. Some of his lyrics at least make me laugh and his voice sounds cool. It has some sort of echo sound to it that I really can't explain.
