I have really bad soreness...Is this an injury?

I'm in a weird situation right now. I'll start of by saying that I'm a beginner on the 3X5 program.

Anyways, on Wednesday, I worked out and I did squats in the beginning. The work out went fine. The next morning, I had some soreness but it wasn't anything unexpected. Now, on Friday I was supposed to work out again but it was one of my best friends birthday's and it was the Stanley Cup final Game 7 so i skipped out on the work out and started drinking ealy with friends (I know its a bad move and I regret it). By this time, the soreness on my legs was pretty much gone. Now I drank ALOT on Friday and by the time I got home, I pretty much collapsed on my bed and fell asleep.

The next morning, my right leg was extremely sore (I'm not kidding when I say extremely sore). Especially the entire area underneath the knee. And today, it is just as sore. Did alcohol somehow damage my muscles which were recovering from a work out? What happened? I'm even having trouble walking straight. Has this happened to anyone else. I was fine on friday but the Saturday morning was brutal. Was this alcohol or did I injure myself. I do not recall falling or hurting myself on friday but my walking is really painful for me right now. Thanks for the help.

we would all just be guessing. most of the time if the problem is getting better on its own you will be fine with just letting it heal. if it is not getting better on its own or getting worse then you need to go to a doctor. if you want to play it safe just go to the doctor now.

Not sure if we have the same issue. I suffer from something similar after squat days, but it has gotten better since I started doing more hip drive rather than pressing my legs into the ground like a deadlift.

Is the pain in the back of your knee? Like it's not a bone pain, but a muscle/joint pain?

If you were to get on both knees, and sit on both knees with your body weight, would it hurt? How about standing up and bending your leg while grabbing your shoe?
