I got spam with child porn, called FBI

Part of my job is answering e-mails. Naturally I see a lot of spam. However, this one was a bit different. It said something about sample pictures of raped kids! I figured it would be a site with fakes or "barely legal" girls, you know, the 20 year olds that are wearing pig tails and holding a lollipop. Well, I clicked on it just to see if it was real. Alas, I think it was the real deal. It had what looked to be kids around the age of 8-10 or so engaged in adult activities. It was not a pretty sight. I called the local FBI office but just got an answering machine. So I went to the national FBI website where they have a form you can fill out to report suspected crimes. I filled out the form and left my phone number. I have a feeling the website is probably in Romania or someplace where the feds can't touch.

I think you did the right thing. One of the tasks of my job is reviewing websites to make sure they are not infringing on the trademarks of my company. If I came across a website like that I would report it too.

It was really nasty stuff too. I didn't look at it but for a second or two. Let's just say I saw diapers and semen in the same photo. It could have been fake, but even a fake like that is still not right.

Exactly. The FBI did a bust not to long ago and arrested people for viewing these kind of sites. I don't recall how they found out.

Did you just have to submit the web address?

They actually have an all purpose form on their website. You fill in your name address, phone # and then it has a section where you give them all the information you have. I told them I can get the full headers to track the email if they need it. If someone has the resources and desire, it's possible to find out who sent the email.

same thing happened to me a few years ago. I also called about 4 different numbers in an effort to get someone at the FBI. The dude I finally spoke to sounded like he couldnt give a shit. The fuckers that sent that garbage to me had cyrillic writing on the site so I'm guessing they were bulgarian, or russian....something like that. I swear the look on the girl's face that I saw made me cry.

I could tell by the looks on these kids faces, both boys and girls, that they did not want to be doing what they were no doubt forced to do. I may be a big pervert that enjoys a lot of pornography, but this kind of underage non consensual stuff angers me.

I saw one Russian porn where the girl was young but of legal age. They showed interviews from her "audition" and she changed her mind about doing the movie during the audition. However, the asshole producer kept going after her trying to coerce her into it. I really thought that guy was a piece of shit for trying to get her to do something she didn't want to do.
