It's a lab for a kinesiology class. We had to come up with a research question and then find relevant studies on the subject. I did "What is the optimal daily protein intake (g/kg) for a strength/power athlete?"
Interestingly, all the studies to date show that most of us eat way more protein than we need. About 1.7 grams/kg is what was concluded to be optimal. So for a 200 lb. athlete in a sport using mainly fast twitch muscle fibers, that's only about 153 grams/day.
