Hurt my tailbone somehow...can i lift?

I think i bruised my tailbone somehow at the gym on sunday....maybe when i was squirming around the flat bench to reposition myself.

at first i thought it was a pimple or cyst lol...but then i looked at it was swollen.

i couldn't sit up or sit down without pain yesterday and everytime i walked i was in alot of pain.

definetely no squats, legs or deadlifts....but do you think i can work out (lats,tri's or shoulders) or should i stay off it and ice it for a few days?

i wouldn't care normally but i was sick for a week and a half and couldn't work out and it's killing me being out of the gym any longer.
 
IMO I would workout and do things that doesnt affect it. If your doing anykind of workout and it hurts, stop. If this continues and or gets worse, Id get it checked out. Better safe than sorry.
 
If your tailbone hurts it's gonna hurt every time you lift a dumbell off a rack, every time you try and sit, every time you do anything.

There's no exercise you can do that doesn't involve your core. And if you aggravate it you can be in bed for days.

that's true man....maybe that's how the initial injury occured. i didn't even realize it.

very helpful as usual bro...
