HP Touchpad tablets fire sale! Starting at 100$ due to HP keeling over

I have an iPad 2 but would love to buy one of these for my wife and daughter.

Does it operate on a system like Android, or does it have it's own operating system?

I'm assuming it has some type of app market in which you can download apps, games, etc., right?

Also, if anyone picks up a 16GB @ $99 I'll gladly give you $150 for it...
