how would it change your life if you made 400k to 500k year? what would you do?

I'm close to that league and I was an asshole when i was young and poor. I'm still pretty much an asshole unless you have a sense of humor.

I'll tell you a story. Long ago I was playing blackjack and was about to run out of money. Dealer had a 5 and I had an ace. I didn't have the money to double down, old guy next to me said you got to double down on that here's the chips. I won. Then went on to win $300 which at the time was a lot for me. Later on in life I was down in the islands and a guy was in the situation as I was long ago. Time to pay a debt back, I gave him the money to double down. he won BTW. Ended up with $50 after a few hands and ran for it. LOL.

The point of this story is you need to pay back your debts if you can. I played little league baseball and my neighbor's son played with me. He owned a landscaping company and he didn't like our infield so one day he brought the boys and built us a new infield. I'll pay that back some day, my son is 4 so we have a few years.

I don't think it's life changing but if you make some money, pay your old debts off.

it is funny you say that! i read covergirls post and relived the horror of "helping" people out, how they hounded me for years!!! i was able to help my paternal grandmother out as she had a 11k year ss income! i paid all of her bills for several years. ( much to her chagrin, she was prideful)

You're a really good bro. My grandmother raised me...my older brother as well. She was offered a full ride to get her MBA 23 yrs ago but she couldn't because my mom got pregnant as a really young teen...twice lol. So she sacrificed her career and worked 2 jobs to put us through private school. She's like an angel on earth. I can't wait for that time where I'm able to help her out one day. :) Must be the best feeling in the world. Way to help out your grams. Infinite respect broly.

Would still work just the same as I do now. LOVE my job and wouldn't trade it for anything. Would probably rest a little easier at times with the additional $$ but would much rather have the people and other things surrounding me that really bring comfort and genuine happiness than any amounts of $$. When it's all said and done, you can't take it with you. Everyone leaves their legacy and money generally has nothing to do with that.

I could have wrote this myself.

I'm selfish I know...I'd build a beautiful home in the mountains complete with a fully functioning "play" dungeon. A girl's gotta have some fun :chomp:
